Does anyone here use the buses to get from AK to Sanaa regularly? We stay at AKL frequently but next trip is SSR and I'm wondering if it's worth the trip to go there for lunch on our AK day.

What is your plan for after lunch? Regardless of the restaurant, I never really find it worth it to go through the hassle and time of leaving a park for lunch and then returning to it.

Do you use the busses when you stay at AKL? If so, Sanaa is in the resort, so you're already familiar with getting there.

We have eaten at Sanaa before while staying at AKL and love it.

The plan would be a break back at the resort but we are all adults so others could go back to AK if they chose to. I do agree it is usually too much of a hassle....I think I'm going to wait and see how we feel that day. It would be a late lunch so I think we could get in.

Would you be willing to possibly Uber from AKL back to SSR, for those of you who want to take a break? Otherwise, going back to a park and then catching a bus from there to SSR is also a hassle. (Unless by "the resort" you mean wandering around AKL, which is also great fun)

I find a lot of really good food options at DAK, so don't see a point of leaving just for lunch. Either way, you will take a bus, taxi, or Uber. Not worth it to me for lunch.

My DD and I love Yak & Yeti counter service, but their table service looks nice. We also like Flame Tree (we like counter service, in case you can't tell). But you have Rainforest Cafe and Tusker House.

I wouldn't waste time just for Saana. It looks okay, but my friend that ate there said it was just that, okay. Not worth the travel time.

From AK, AKL is close, so the hassle is minimal other than waiting for the bus. Enjoy.

I'd do it. If you are travelling to Kidani to eat at Sanaa from AK park, it's really close.

My confusion comes when you are talking about SSR. Is that where you'd have to travel after eating at Sanaa in Kidani? If so then you'd have to choose if you wanted to take a bus back to AK park to transfer to a SSR bus or if you'd simply rather call an Uber or Taxi to Kidani to take you directly back to SSR.

Either way, enjoy!

Definitely..It's a quick n easy way to get to n from...Some could head back to the park, and others could catch a DS bus, & then either boat back to SSR or walk or bus..Easy peasy Lemon Squeazy...Or something like that:teeth:

Yes we would be heading back to SSR from Kidani. Uber or taxi is out because there are 8 of us.

Actually, it's not because they have SUV and Mini van versions of taxis and Ubers that run in the Disney parks areas. I've seen many of them pick people up at hotels and also wait in the bus areas of the parks at closing.

We are planning something similar - travel from AK to Sanaa for dinner. Then back to SSR after. A bit of a hassle, but food is important to us. Plus, my DS really wants to eat with a view of the animals. So the experience and memories count too.

A taxi maybe but that would be pretty expensive since AKL and SSR are about as far away on property as you can get. As far as UBER, my favorite Disney podcast mentioned the unreliability of UBER for large parties. It was reported that they often dispatch a too small vehicle and you still get charged. Not worth the hassle.
