Animal Kingdom to Cape May Cafe?

It has been awhile since I have been to WDW, and was wondering if anybody had some helpful tips or tricks on the quickest way to travel from Animal Kingdom to Cape May Cafe. Further we have reservations at 7:20 pm on March 22nd and Animal Kingdom closes at 7pm. So obviously my next question would be how much time would you allow your self for the trip?

Any helpful advise would be gratefully appreciated.

The easiest way to get to the Cape May Cafe is to take the Beach Club/Yacht Club bus from Animal Kingdom. Cape May is located in the Beach Club Resort. Since you will be going at the park's closing time it might be wise to give yourself an hour since many people will e leaving the park then and you may have to wait for a bus. Depending on how they are routing the buses there may also be stops at some other locations like Blizzard Beach or the Swolphin hotels.

We stayed at AKL last April and had dinner at Cape May also! MMMM! The way we went was this : took bus from AKL to DHS, get off bus walk over to the boat dock that goes to right to the Yacht/Beach club. It was a nice relaxing ride and when we were done just did the reverse...get on boat to DHS take bus back to AKL. Easy peasy

OP will be at AK not AKL. I don't think there's a direct bus from AK to DHS.

Agree that the most direct route is to take the bus from AK to YC/BC. It's about a 20 minute bus ride but you can't count on walking out of the park and having a bus right there for you. I'd be out the park gates no later than 6:30 and maybe a little earlier than that. If you are early for your ADR you can either check in and see if they'll seat you right away or poke around the resort a little; always fun to explore, play find-the-hidden-Mickeys, etc.
