Animal Kingdom Questions

I've been avoiding It's Tough to Be a Bug because I'm one of those people who act completely irrational when I see something with more than 4 legs (even if it's on a video screen). :rotfl:

What about Kali River Rapids? Just like every other raft ride out there? I read the theme isn't that great...

I am one who skips Kali because the raft ride at Kings Dominion is way longer and more fun.

You are smart to skip the bug movie as it's full of bugs. :rotfl2:

I also wanted to mention the single rider line at Everest if you enjoy it and want to keep riding, but the regular line starts to get long. I'm over 50 but will still ride it over and over. It's my favorite ride in all of Disney World.

I will say when you go through the Pangini trail, the gorillas can really suck up your time. They can be really interesting, doing stuff and making noises, and I've spent an hour there without realizing it. However, I always see sleeping tigers on the other trail, so that one is like 10 minutes. It depends what the animals are up to.

Don't miss Festival of the Lion King. It's the best show on property. Sounds like you have good plans. Have a fun trip!!

Thank you!!

I've never seen gorillas before, so I'm sure I'll be enamored by them!

We just got back from our trip. We went to Lali River Rapids first (DD's choice), then road EE three times in a row, then did the Safari and walked the trail there, then Tough to be a Bug. Ate lunch at Flame Tree. Then did Dinosaur, Nemo, FOTLK, Wonders of Flight, Jungle trek trail, Kali again with FP, EE again with FP, then dinner at Yak and Yeti. It poured after dinner, so we left the park at about 6:30. Felt like we got to do everything we wanted, but for us, it's a full day park.

Last trip we spent 2 full days at AK....I can't imagine a half day :confused3

Many people passed us on the trails but they didn't take the time to really look at the habitat and animals imo......we also had very interesting talks with a few cast members each day that were lots of fun!!

That trip was me and my sister so no kids

This, times 1000. I'm a little biased, but I couldn't imagine spending only half a day at Animal Kingdom unless I planned to come back.

I can walk the trails in about 8 minutes, but you won't see anything unless you slow down and take your time. For a worthwhile tour, I would say plan about 30 minutes/trail, and possibly more. And if you get the chance, talk to the cast members about the animals!!!!!! It adds time, but it's so worth it!

No kids, but still sounds fun for two twenty-somethings :thumbsup2

Oh I am trying to figure out how I can get all 31 done in a day. I'm 37 and I want to become a Wilderness Explorer.=) maybe I'll get a hopper for me and go to AK when my sis and her.family go back to hotel.to swim and rest.

Your plan sounds great. I would definitely suggest Finding Nemo The Musical.
We usually spend at least 30 minutes on the trails. And your food choice??? Flame Tree is absolutely divine:thumbsup2
Hope you have a magical time!!
