We are staying in AKV (original building) for two nights following a cruise in March. We are in a studio. Could you suggest a room that has a great view of the animals? We will not be going to the parks, so I am sure we will spend much time in the room. We had an excellent room a couple of summers ago (you could see Kidani animal lookout from the balcony) but I didn't make note of the room number and cannot remember now. We were able to see many varieties of animals. My kids especially enjoy the giraffes and zebras.

We then stayed a few nights later that summer and the view was not great at all. The trees were so tall and in the way that they pretty much blocked all viewing. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

We were there just last week and I was dissapointed with the animals. We saw some from our room but it was the same 5-8 animals everyday. Two, Zebras, a few giraffes, a wildabeast, one of those cow things with the huge horns, and some birds. I walked around and it seemed all trails had the same animals.

But where else can you have zebras and giraffes outside your room?

I think Kidani might have better views than Jambo, just because you have the option of lower floors than only the 5th floor in Jambo.

It sounds like you were on the Sunset savanna last time, so maybe request that again if you liked it. We like the zebra trail at Jambo near the watering hole.

when we stayed last time, we found the best views are from the stairwells at the end of the hallways

I always request the Zebra trail or the Kudu trail. Both have excellent views of the savana.

Zebras, giraffes, a wildabeast, and a Ankole (large horned cattle), plus birds..sounds pretty good to me. What you see often depends on when you are looking. Disney does great at putting out feed in the stations on a regular basis, but if you're not in your room during those times you may not see many animals.
