Hey everbody. I'm new here but I have read these fourms a lot. Anyway, I had a question on an upcoming trip to WDW. I have heard on T.V. shows and in some guide books that another good time to see a lot of animals on the safari is around dusk. So my question is, does it make more scence to go to Everest first thing and do the safari later in the day? Or will the opening of Everest make the line at the safari shorter in the morning?

Some people say first thing in the morning, some say evening and some say it doesn't matter. I would do Everest first thing, then either do the Safari or get a fast pass and do it when it fits in with your schedule. I do think Safari will have smaller lines earlier in the am now that EE is at AK.

Rather than looking only at the lines, you should also look at when would be the best time to get the most out of the safari. I would do that first thing in the morning while the animals are still active. A lot of them tend to sleep during the day.

I think the logic of going on the safari at dusk is that if it is during the warmer months, the animals may be more active rather than seeking some shade. The same could be said for the early morning(unless its cold out), however I am not sure if in the morning, it may take the animals a little time to roam out into the more visable ares. I dont think EE will have a big huge impact on the safari but its hard to tell with the fastpasses. I think there would enough guests at any time of the year to fill both rides. you can look at it a few different ways. I would get fastpasses for EE first, then go to the standby line at another ride like the safari.

i would get fastpasses of EE first because we have done the safari early and late and this july we did it in the extreme afternoon heat because there wasnt a long line. well we saw more active animals then we ever did. if you go on the safari early enough and dont see enough animals you could always try it again later on in the day.
