JUST GOT A CALL FROM A FRIEND WHO SAID MEMBR SVCS TOLD HIM DVC POINTS WERE GOING UP 8.00 PER POINT JAN 15. WILL THIS MAKE CURRENT AK DVC MEMBERS POINTS WORTH MORE TO RENT?

Second, all caps is interpreted as yelling!
Third, doubt it will increase the price that renters receive especially since "points are universal at the 7 month point" and since points for rent have pretty much stayed a consistent price even though individual resort costs per point have risen dramatically over the past 15+ years.

No, since the increase is to the amount that is paid to purchase new points from DVC.

(The prices have been steadily increasing on the open resorts for years but the amount charged for rentals is pretty much stable)
