Animal Kingdom Parade

I'm trying to put some final touches on my plan for DW in December. I would like an afternoon of shopping at Downtown Disney and feel like the best time for this would be after our Animal Kingdom day, since they close early. I think it would be best if we left he park around 4:00. Then we would have time to shop and then get home to bed. I'm just wondering about the Parade since we would probably miss it. Is it worth seeing. I haven't really read much about it. I have never been a big fan of any of the parades I've seen. I do want to see Spectromagic and the Christmas parade this trip, but I don't really care for the others that much. Of course my 3 kids do enjoy them so I will stay if it's worth staying for. Please tell me what you think. I really need to get things ordered and ADRs.

We were at the AK on Sunday. I forced and I mean forced my DH to watch the parade. He really does not like parades. After the parade he told me it was of cutest parades he has seen and it it so cheerful.

the parade is cute. I'm not a big fan of parades either in general( see them once than don't need to again except spectro.) but I think kids would like it for sure.

DTD is open till 10 or 11 I think in winter so i'd stay for the parade as unless you want to do some really serious shopping it only takes about an evening to go through. ( we usually go for a few hrs the night we arrive at WDW and then maybe a hr or so later if we want to buy something in particular.

We love the AK Jamin' Jungle Parade. The music is very lively and upbeat and the costume are great. If you are going in December, you will probably be seeing the Jamin' Jingle Parade (Christmas Version). We have not seen this one but hope to when we are down in December (week between Christmas and New Years).

The parade at AK is not to be missed. Very original. We loved it.
