Animal Kingdom Parade..FYI

Interesting that my husband and I were asked to ride a float during the parade....we did turn it down as we felt that families should ride them....just an fyi, we were sitting, I wish I could remember the name of the place, but it was across from a soft serve ice cream place and they seemed to have a bar there.......Disney castmembers were recruiting there for riders for the floats.

We did talk to a family from Scotland who were asked to ride and promised them we would stay and watch the parade.....they spotted us as they were proceeding in the parade and were waving madly to us.....it actually brought tears to my eyes, the children were so excited........

Do you know how early they were doing this? Or have a time frame?
