This Moonlight Magic seemed less crowded than any other event we've gone to.

For all practical purposes there were no lines for the rides (Avatar, Na'vi River, Everest/Yeti, Tough to be a bug, Dinosaur).
The one character greeting we did had a line only after the first door (in hindsight probably should have done more character greetings)
Usually there are long lines towards the end to use up snack coupons. There was a long line at Mr. Kamal's, but other food and beverage lines seemed short (we try to use our snack vouchers early to avoid the long lines).

Dinoland Carnival Games was not on the MM attractions map. When we asked we were told they have been permeant closed since January. When carnival games had prizes/stuffed animals, there were very long lines for all games. When they took away prizes, the lines shortened a lot, but still people enjoyed the games (us included).
TriceraTop Spin was also closed.
No Fossil Fun Games
Koli River Rapids is being refurbished - this is typically closed for MM, but if you arrive early you could go on it - and weather was great for a water ride.

Not sure if guests left early due to limited attractions (compared to the past) or if members are getting Animal Kingdom Moonlight Magic'ed out with up to three in the past 12 months.

Overall an enjoyable event - and always great being outside with nice weather.

I doubt people were MM'd out, with so many not getting in and demand being way over attendance limits. Trying to get in wasted a solid 3 hours of my life and I wasn't the only one.

Did you go to the MM? Or was this during regular hours?

My son and I attended the Feb 12 Moonlight Magic.
Quite a few attractions and rides were not available.
We usually enjoy walking around the Trails and seeing the animals and going on the Safari.(not available).

The three snack coupons were nice.
We tried the chicken dumplings and apple cake with dole whip ice cream on top.
The frozen ice cream treats were great.
We had two coupons left and gave them away on our way out of the Park.

This was not our first time going to AK. We felt it would have been better for us to have just paid for a Park ticket and gone during the day.
It was a 6/10 for us.

We couldn't get tickets to MM, as demand was too high. Hence saying I don't think OP found attendance low due to people being over doing MM. Way more people wanted in than they allowed. That event would have been our only opportunity over the past 3 years (they haven't had one while we were there) and we couldn't get tickets.

Did you leave early then (that you gave your snack vouchers away)?

From our vantage point, seemed much less crowded - especially at the end, than usual.

We went 2/12 and while I would give the event high marks, we were disappointed in it--not due to Disney, just because of unforeseen realities. We got there right at 7 and loved the lack of crowds....loved the music & dancing near Flame Tree Barbeque....wanted to take our 6-year-old to Boneyard Playground, but it was closed. Hadn't had dinner but the snack coupons didn't give us choices of "real food," so we bought our dinners (kudos to Disney for having real food available for purchase)....wound up using only 3 of the 9 coupons we were given. Our biggest disappointment was "sight." The park was so dark (of course, it was dark outside, but the lighting was very dim along the walkways), we really couldn't see anything of the park....not a big deal for me; I've been to AK zillions of times--but super disappointing for the family I had w/me who'd never been to AK before and kind of feel like they still haven't been there. You just couldn't see anything beyond a short distance, on the ground, in front of your feet. So we left pretty early too....weren't there for more than 90 minutes....walking around in the dark just wasn't our thing....no animals to be seen (if they were out, we couldn't see them; it was too dark)....it was my first Moonlight Magic (never have had a trip scheduled at a time an MM was on offer before)....might be my last. As someone else pointed out, getting registered for it is a time-taker/stress-producer .... you can probably tell I rarely if ever do the parks after dark....

MM at AK is completely different from MM at MK and DHS. So don’t write it off if one is scheduled for MK or DHS during a later visit of yours.

I think you mean Epcot and DHS (I understand there hasn't been MM at MK since COVID).

Maybe so, but if they do offer one at MK when you’ll be there, go for it!

(I’ve been around since way before Covid, so I hadn’t noticed the divide.)
