my travel agent says she can get this for me for less than what I was quoted for CBR.

what can you tell me about the lodge?

It's absolutely breathtaking!!! Don't hesitate to stay there. It's our new favorite resort and I don't think we will ever stay anywhere else!!!!

i was just there in august and i agree. i love this resort and don't want to stay anywhere else. i paid regular price of $275 for savanna view and it was worth it. i loved the animals outside our balcony and the kids didn't want to get out of the pool that was open 24 hours. and the lobby...i can't say enough about it. at night, i sent the kids to the arcade and i sat on one of the couches and read my book with some hot tea. AHHH what peace!

The hotel has so many activities:
African games, crafts, storytelling, animal watching, nightvision animal watching, great restaurants, huge pool, pool games, two hot tubs, arcade, african art all over, students from africa to talk to, nice gift shop..............

I would definitely choose AKL over CBR any day. It is just an awesome resort! Good luck!

You will love AKL! It is our favorite resort. We will most likely never stay anywhere else! It is completely amazing. It's the only Disney resort that is an adventure all in it's own. the views are breathtaking. I don't know if you have kids? There are great childrens activities there. the food choices are fab. They have a food court, and 2 amazing rest. most people take a trip over just to see the resort and eat at one of the rest.
Trust us if you can get AKL for the same price as ABR don't hesitate go for it!!!!

She can get you a discounted savanna view room at the AKL for less then a rack rate room at the CBR?

What rates did she quote you? If this is true then go for the AKL hands down.

If what she is able to get you is a discounted standard view room at the AKL for less then rack rate at the CBR then I would think about it. You cannot see animals from your room and even though there are many places to view animals from around the resort my husband and I would stay at another resort before staying in a standard view room at the AKL.

Just our opinion of course because there are many people who have stayed in standard view rooms at the AKL and still had a great time.
