Having visited relatives in the Daytona area for the past couple
of years and of course Disney. We planned to skip this year until
they came out with the great room rate for standard room For
$139.00 +tax. I could not resist it. They got me again.
We stayed last June in the Zebra Trail ,Savannah View . I have read on the boards all the negative things about the standard
view rooms. Finally my question LOL !:D Has anyone in the group
split their stay at the AKL , let's say half of your stay in a Savannah/Pool View Room and half your stay in a Standard Room.
I have done this with resorts , but not at the same one.
I know June is usually a hard time to get a upgrade even if you
have to pay for it. I have read on the boards where members
have gotten them in off peak times. I guess I will have to wait and see. pool view vs standard , a $510.00 dice roll

Thanks !

I was having a similar issue with Poly vs. WL. We love having the monorail but then I asked myself if I were stading on line waiting to board the monorail and someone offered me $700 to take the boat instead...what would I do? I would take the money and run. So I switched ressies to WL. Now I just have to convince myself not to upgrade to the honeymoon suite with all the money I saved. We also wanted a resort with more Christmas magic and I know the WL goes all out.

I didn't split between a standard and a savannah, but I split between 2 very different savannah views. I was at AKL for 2 nites, and spent the first night on 5th floor, Sunset savannah, and asked at check-in for a different floor and view the second night (I was solo and the main purpose of this stay was to experience the hotel). Second nite was Arusha savannah, 2nd floor. Which did I like better? Both!
