We have 1 night to fill at the end of our vacation after our Disney cruise.
We were hoping to spend it at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in a Savannah view studio. So we have a good friend with lots of DVC points, we asked her if we could book it through her. She said she'd have to go on a waiting list as it isn't her home resort. Not promising.
Is there a better way to go about it? Direct prices are rather high, more than we'd like to pay.

You said its after your cruise - which judging by your ticker is still over 7 mths away. Your friend can only book 7mths in advance as it is not her home resort.

I would imagine that there will be no problems booking it once the booking window opens.

I have been trying to book a studio at the start of November and there is plenty of availbility at AKV in Savannah & standard studio - I think you will be fine :thumbsup2

i think you have a very good chance of booking it at 7mths too - savannah views actually make up most of the rooms and it is a big resort, the hardest to get are the value rooms (cheapest points wise) and the concierge (there are so few of them). So I think that DVC would definitely be the best and cheapest way for you to go if your friend is willing to do that for you.

Good luck:thumbsup2
