Animal Kingdom Lodge----pool closure

Help! I was so excited to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani Village on our upcoming trip. However, I just saw the pool is closed through April. We are going middle of April. I have 2 kids that LOVE to swim. We usually take midday breaks to enjoy the pool. Does anyone know how far away Jambo's pool is? On the map it looks FAR! I've never stayed at either resort so I'm clueless!!!

It is not too far of a walk if you request away from lobby on the South Trail section. There is an internal shuttle as well to go between the two locations but we have never used it as community hall is in Kidani and we prefer the smaller Kidani pool over the much larger one at Jambo House

It depends where in Kidani you are how far the walk is. It could be a similar distance to the Kidani pool (which can be far even in Kidani) or it could be a really far walk. You can take the internal shuttle or bus between the two. Especially on the way to the pool since I believe Kidani is the first stop for any buses to the park you can take the first one that comes and get off at Jambo. I'd try to put in a request for a room on the south trail that way you can get closest.

On the plus size the Jambo pool is much larger which could come in handy during the spring break time.

Thanks! I was starting to second guess my choice of resorts. We've stayed at CBR before and I know how far away you can be from the pool!

I personally still love AKL even if it might be a bit far from the pool. The walking path would be better if it was through the Savannah the whole way!
