Animal Kingdom Lodge Construction

We're off to WDW in October and are considering upgrading to a Savannah View room at AKL. But we're concerned about the construction that will be taking place there.

Does anyone have any information on where the construction will be based around that time, how likely it is to impact on view/quiet and any advice on which rooms we should request to avoid it?

The only savanna that sees construction is the Sunset Savanna. So you'll want to request either Arusha or Uzima Savanna.

Based on the rate of speed at which they are completing the buildings, by October they may have finished the exterior elements -- can't say for sure, but it seems like they are really moving full-steam ahead.
