The Kidani Village opened 5/1 and we were lucky enough to get transferred there from OKW on 5/3because of a room problem. In short is is a very nice resort. The rooms are new so they are super clean, we were the 1st to sleep in the room we had - how nice!

The pool area for the village is really Cool! it has a medium waterslide and a small one for little kids. It has this great splash and play area for toddlers.

The staff was awesome and very nice!

I am posting this because I never thought I would want to stay at Animal Kingdom but after going there, it is one of my top choices.

The only downside I thought, was there was no counter service in the Village, and the bar at the pool only served a turkey sandwich. So, we had to drive over to the main lodge to eat - not a big deal because we had a car.

So just report, we LOVED it.

I will try to post some pictures in a few days.

Thanks for your report. We will be staying at Kidani in July and we are very excited. Glad you enjoyed it!!

Thanks for your TR. I am looking forward to some photos. We are checking in the 13th of June. Our DGC get out of school on the 12th. They are super excited to be staying at Kidnani. We usually do DL 3 or 4 times a year. This will be only our 3rd trip to FL. My DW is really going to like staying "new" accommodations. My DGS loves the World and can't wait to go. 21 more days!

Exactly how I felt. We stayed when Jambo first opened the villas, only because the kids wanted to, and only for one night. I loved it. It's so much nicer than any photos I've ever seen. We'll be staying at Kidani this September.

Glad you had a good time and looking forward to pictures.

Glad you had a great time. AKL is one of our favorite resorts and we can't wait for our upcoming trip to Kidani this July. :woohoo: We are looking forward to seeing your pictures. :goodvibes

Looking forward to seeing your pictures! Glad you had such a nice trip. :)

You had to drive....is it really that far? You have me worried.

It is not far. Caskbill reports that it is a 0.35 mi walk. There is a walking path and it only takes minutes.

We will be at Kiani in a few weeks!

Not only is it a reasonable walk between the buildings, but the buses will take those who need to get between them over (handy in the rain). Retrieving a car from the garage, driving over to Jambo, parking it and then walking in could not possibly be faster or easier than a 7-8 minute walk lobby to lobby unless you're one who stops to admire grass, trees and bugs along the way.

We will be checking in on June 13th and can't wait. We will have our own car and are planning on getting our own food at Walmart. We will be bringing our DD13 and DD17 friends along and want to cut food costs.

I'm sure we will still be able to smell the fresh paint.

I'm not at all interested in Kidani, but I'm wondering what your "room problem" at OKW was. I would have been really bummed to get moved to Kidani if I was planning on staying at OKW.
