AK is a great park. As others have said, get there early and to get the most out of your day, head to the safari first...either ride immediately or get a fast pass (we didn't need FP when there last month, but some other trips we did)...sometimes we get a FP before getting on the ride, do the ride and then do it again with the FP...it's always different, since the animals are obviously moving around. You should also ride the train to the back of the park to see some more of the animals and walk some of the trails. Pick up a show guide as you enter and check out the times for the shows. IMO, Lion King is not to be missed...awesome...we have found that unless it's a very very busy day, getting there 15 minutes before show time is plenty early. We also LOVE Tarzan Rocks and if you have pre-teens/teens, don't miss it....great music, skaters, dancers, lots of fun. I don't care to much for Flight of Wonder, but I would still see it once....three shows are hard to fit in one day. During our visit in June, they weren't even using FP for It's Tough to be a Bug, but you will want to do that, too (unless you have small children afraid of loud noises...it's 3-D show). Dinoland has the playground for little kids, as well as rides like Primevil Whirl (FP ride, if needed) and a ride much like Dumbo but with Dinosaur cars instead (can't think of the name), as well as carnival games. Dinosaur is a simulator type ride....I like it but it is dark and loud....again FP if you want to use that system.
If your schedule allows, try to see the Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade....so cute....and fun music.
I would ride Kali last (or actually, I wouldn't ride Kali...I don't like getting wet on rides) because you will be SOAKED!!!...My DH and DS really like it.
Don't forget to take time to walk the trails and look at the animals. THere are so many that it's easy to miss them.
My family can easily spend the day....we didn't this past trip, only there about 5 hours, but we skipped Kali and the Parade this time.
I hope you have a great time.
