There are 22 total GV's at AKV. Six are located at Jambo House and the remaining are at Kidani Village. The Jambo House GV's are one floor and have a pool table. The Kidani Village GV's are two story (no pool table).

In addition to what erionm posted, let me add that two of the Kidani Village Grand Villas are classified as Standard View. All the other GVs are classified as Savanna View.

It's always hard to get a GV at a non-home resort. People have done it, but it may be the reason members own at that resort. To get a head start on GV booking.

Though both GVs are very nice, personal preference is the Jambo GVs because of the single story arrangement giving large living area and huge porches.

As to availability, based on my tracking of 7 month window on-line, GVs are usually available at 7 months out. That is true of every resort that has them except BWV where they are usually gone. For example, right now, you can get a GV anywhere except BWV for Presidents' Week.

We'll be in a Jambo House GV from 7/22-7/25. We booked at 5 months out and expected nothing to be available except SSR. We had our choice of Kidani or Jambo...so go figure. Holidays are probably impossible outside of 7 months, but if you're flexible with your dates, it seems you could get one at 7 months during the summer.

We stayed in Jambo and loved it. We enjoyed the pool table, decks and a dining room table that can sit all 12 of us. The entry was impressive and the overall feel was grand.
