I think I'm going to order new paper for the safari layout. The one I bought I'm just not in love with and since its just a tan and ivory pattern, I think it will be really restrictive for options for a 4-page layout. Hate to have to order something different, but just don't think I will be happy with what I have. I have my heart set on one from SYT, but I hate to spend $24 for one set of papers. KWIM?

I like the yellow and white polka dot! It'd pull the colors out of the D&D statues better... (it reminds me more of their beak color)...

Yes, that's a lot of $ on one set of papers!

I totally understand what you are saying about $24 for one set of papers... I have tried to make sure I have hit sales for my orders... Money only stretches so far and with the gas prices sky-rocketing in my area right now, paper has to be on sale...

I have it bookmarked so it is on my favorite bar and there is a note above my scrap desk for the titles..

I try to use less "patterned" paper than cardstock, because of the cost. It's so much less expensive to get 24 sheets of cardstock than it is the "Disney" patterned stuff, so I use the pattern as an accent. I don't think it takes away from it at all.

This is what I really wanted. I should have just gone with my first instinct, as I'm not happy with my other choice and I will probably be ordering it anyway. I think I will take your advice and use it as an accent, so maybe I can get away with 12 sheets instead of 24.

I love that...You don't have Jo's near you do you? They had the Safari Chic 12x12 on clearance. You could have "made your own" with that.

Patterned paper is still out of my comfort zone.. I'm trying hard to use it more...but am so leary because of prices...

I donated a bunch of paper to our art class at the middle school... and I still have a store full in my scraproom...

I love mixing patterned papers, but it's too cost prohibitive to do here in these swaps. I've been trying to find one pattern paper and then use solid cardstock for the rest of the layout.

If it's not a secret, can I ask what you decided to do?

BTW, your bag was one of the two MK swap bags I had time to look at last night. I LOVE the adventureland layout. The colors are just beautiful together and the whole page just came together so nicely!
