My family has long lists of allergies including but not limitted to gluten, milk, eggs, peanuts and a few tree nuts among us, plus a bunch of not so common ones. Normally when we eat at AK we get an ADR at Tusker House. This time, we're wanting CS.

I know that Flame Tree BBQ is known for being a good place for allergy safe foods and I believe allergy chicken tenders are available at Restaurantosaurus but I'm putting together my touring plan and we'll be done in that area by 10:30am. While we eat early, we don't generally eat before 11:00am. I'm open to something anywhere other than Dinoland or that side of Discovery Island as I haven't finalized the next part of our touring plan yet. We can easily head towards Asia for Flights of Wonder and Maharaja Jungle treck or towards Camp Minnie Mickey for Festival of the Lion King which also puts us near the other side of Discovery Island and I'm also open to Africa since that's not far from Flights of Wonder. I just don't know what places offer anything other than fresh fruit and maybe Enjoy Life cookies for us to eat.

I really don't want to go to Tusker House just because I don't want a 2 hour chunk of time taken up by eating and we'll have QSDP during that part of our trip and we'll have done more than enough TS in the first part of our trip plus for FDP at DHS.

I wish Flights of Wonder had an earlier show so we could go see that then head back. I guess that worst case scenario we could go over to Maharajah Jungle Trek and then backtrack to Flame Tree BBQ but I really would prefer to find something in one of the other lands.

Any suggestions?

When we thought DH had celiac, I was looking into different food scenarios for him. I found a website called Allergy Free Mouse. Don't know how updated their food lists are (they had one for each park), but it might be a start for you.

HTH :goodvibes

I wish I could come up with some better options for you. The only place in that area is Yak & Yeti, and I know how you (and most of us) feel about non-Disney owned restaurants. My experience there was so-so...not terrible, but not like great either.

Otherwise, I can't think of anything over that way that has a lot of options.

Thanks! I've tentatively written my touring plan to either go to Maharajah Jungle Trek and back to Flame Tree BBQ or depending on the time just skip MJT and eat before heading over to the 11:30 Flights of Wonder show. Knowing how long it takes to get allergy food, I figure if we want to get to the 11:30 show (I'm not fussy about where we sit and I'm doubting the first show will fill so I'm totally fine arriving at 11:20) I figure we need to be there by 10:40 at the latest so with my current touring plan I figure we may not have time for MJT anyway which makes FTBBQ perfect anyway.

I clearly put way too much thought into this. It's a good thing I enjoy this particular obsessive compulsive tendency of mine. LOL

Flame Tree is pretty central so it's not too far of a walk from anywhere. That's usually our go-to no matter where we are.

Flame Tree was the only cs we ate at in AK. We have similar allergies and really enjoyed the meal. Son with gluten, dairy and peanut allergy had bbq sandwich and they subbed out coleslaw for watermelon, his preference. Sorry not any help!

Thanks everybody. I've now printed and laminated my AK touring plan (yes I'm one of those nutjobs LOL) and in it I've got FTBBQ for lunch. It's a shame that other than fresh fruit on the other side of the park, FTBBQ is the only real option we've got for CS. We'll be eating a lot of BBQ this trip as we'll be staying at FW the first 4 nights of our trip and in this time we'll be eating at HDDR, WCC and several times at Trail's End so I was hoping for something else at this point. It's a good thing my kids love ribs and would eat them every day if I let them.
