There is a tour that is available only to Concierge Level Guests at all WDW Resorts Hotels:

Wildlife Discovery tour, Sunrise Safari & Wild Africa Trek all take place at AK. Sunset Safari takes place at AKL.

I do not own at AK and I booked a 3 nite Club Level about 6 months in advance for Spring Break '13. I did not seem ot have a problem. I also have heard about problems of getting into the treehouses and i have booked there 2 years in a row at Thanksgiving. (I will not stay there anymore, due to the point recalculation)

I have gotten three two night AKL-CL stays in studios at 7-months or less.
One at four months, one at six months, and my upcoming stay in May at 7-months out.
Try planning for a trip during off-season at DVC (I know that there should not be any off-seasons), it is when I have had the luck to get the CL rooms.

for those of you that have gotten AKL club level it would be helpful if you list what type of room you were able to reserve. I am sure it will depend on whether you had a studio, 1BR or 2BR

There are five two bedroom lockoffs on the sixth floor. Three with a partially blocked savanna view and two with a pool view. I'd bet members who got villas here at less than seven months out, got cancellations from AKV members who booked them earlier and had to cancel.

I tried to book a 1 bedroom in October 2012 for April of 2013. There was nothing available for my dates at that time. I put in a waitlist but went to the site in December just to see if anything had become available. The last three of my 4 nights had opened up, so I booked them and cancelled my waitlist. I go in every so often to see if my first night opens up, but I am not counting on it. If it doesn't we will either go down a day later than originally planned or try to get another room onsite either DVC or regular hotel room for that first night.
