Animal kingdom busiest day

depends on Extra hours there and at the other parks on that day.

I've seen it green on Wednesdays on some crowd calendars.

Most or 2nd most recommended for Wednesdays in January. Also noticed it on Kenny's calendar for my week in April.

On the day I'm looking at, I see it green on some and red on others. I'm not sure which is the best crowd calendar?

I only go on which parks have which EMH scheduled. I don't think say every Tuesday at MK is slow, and every Wednesday at AK is slow, etc..I think it goes by the time of year, EMH, and a toss up on which park.

That makes sense. So if you HAVE to go to MK on a magic hour day, are early mornings affected much by an evening EMH?

And also, when I look at a crowd calendar, I only use EasyWDW

I mainly use the crowd calendars to have everything right there. It's a lot easier to have all the firework and show times right there instead of looking them up one by one

It all depends on variables..But imo I don't think the morning hours at a park are affected much by that park having evening EMH. I think the crowd will usually be the same as any other day, or even slightly less crowded due to people park hopping to the PM EMH park later in the day

Here's hoping :) thank you

True. It's hard because we need to figure out everything in combination with wanting to see RoL and Wishes.

I'm not a big fan of crowd calendars, I don't think they have statistical accuracy, they're just guesses. However, in my experience, I think AK is the least crowded of all the parks. Therefore, while you can usually tell a Tuesday from a Saturday at MK, I don't know that's true at AK.

I'm going this weekend and plan on seeing both. We're just doing each park on a day that avoids any emh that we would run into since we're off site.

We're AP's though so the luxury of hopping is something we do daily

What, say it isn't so. Why do so many people swear by them? I'm with you 100%.
If they were correct, wouldn't they all have to show the same thing, but they don't. Some, or all, have to be incorrect and how do you choose the correct one?
I think AK is the least crowded of all the parks.
If we're talking attendance numbers and not closeness to other people, according to the Themed Entertainment Association's (TEA) 2015 report, 2016's report is not out yet, the least attended WDW park is DHS. If the new attractions at AK attract about an additional million people, subject to what 2017's WDW parks attendance actually is, AK should surpass Epcot in attendance and will be the second busiest park until the two lands are completed at DHS.

Same here. I used EasyWDW for our July 2016 trip and it worked perfectly, and I am someone who had never consulted a crowd calendar; for years we just did our own thing. On the one day that we went to a non- recommended park we noticed a big difference. I have no idea how those crowd calendars work, and I know nothing about statistics, but I do know that this particular calendar was remarkably accurate.

I think with all the new offerings at AK the crowd calendar will be mostly useless.

I am not a big fan of crowd calendar either and I do agree that AK is the lest crowded of all the parks but on May 27 it will be packed, and I do not need a crowd calendar to tell me this.

While some crowd calendars are based on formulas and analytics, the one at Easy WDW is based simply on you zigging while everyone else zags.

For example, those on site think they should go to the park with EMH because it's a perk. If they don't have parkhoppers then they must go to the EMH park to take advantage of it. Even if they intended to hit AM EMH but slept in, they'll still go to that park because they had planned too.

It just makes logical sense that the park that had evening EMH the night before, would be a good park to go to the following morning. People are unlikely to go back to a park they were at the night before. They are also unlikely to be there at opening the next morning. So logic says that park is a great candidate for low crowds.

Of course crowds are relative to time of year and events. Josh does a good job taking everything in and recommending the least busy park. Follow through his photo tours as he walks through his touring plan. It's easy to see that it works.

Thanks for the tips. :)

That's very interesting, I had no idea. But I guess it makes sense. With the size of AK, it never feels as packed as the other places, just hotter...

Until RoL starts shows every night (April 8), I imagine AK will be more crowded on Sat, Sun, Tues, and Thurs.

That could not have been factored into crowd calendars unless they have been updated in the last couple of weeks.
