Animal Kingdom Bus or Uber

Looking for opinions on what will get us to the taps faster the bus or Uber.

Does Uber need to wait for the parking lot to open? I am hearing that those are opening around 7:00 these days.

Yes, Uber needs to wait for parking lots to open. Parking lots have opened 30-45 minutes before park openings. Not sure where you are staying. If you are staying on property, we always use the buses. The buses are free, and one of the "perks" of staying on site. Whatever time the parks open, if you want rope drops, plan on getting in line around 90 minutes before.

We always Lyft to AK unless one of our guests is on a scooter. We split stay to avoid buses and would rather know we can call for one when we are ready vs waiting. for buses.

The bus loops at AK are quite a bit closer to the entrance than the Uber/Lyft dropoff area. You’ll have less of a walk with the bus.

WDW transportation is practically always the fastest and most efficient way to get the parks, it is one of the main perks of staying on-site at a WDW resort.

It's nice to read that some Guests think highly of WDW bus transportation, but I'm not one of them. If I stay on property I don't use the buses, I drive myself or call Uber or Lyft.

I also don't consider it a perk, I consider it getting what I'm paying for as a Guest staying at a WDW resort. WDW Transportation is not a perk just for those staying at a WDW resort, it's available to anyone at WDW.

I remember back in the day that we drove to AK and was stopped at the entry to wait. But Disney busses were going on through, so I am thinking that using Disney transportation might be best for AK? Not sure though.

For AK, definitely use the buses. I would Uber without a second thought if it was faster. It’s not. Used it today from CBR. Was first in line at the taps.
