Is it possible to do Animal Kingdom and Blizzard Beach in one day? We will be at Disney the last 4 days of April, staying at the Beach Club Resort. I am trying to fit in as much as possible within reason. I am thinking about Animal Kingdom in the morning, hitting the hotel for a mid day break, and then going on to Blizzard Beach in the afternoon. My DD8 just loves animals so I am not sure if we will need more time at Animal Kingdom. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. paw: :cat:

You can do it, with no problems. Some say AK is a 1/2 day park, and if you
rush through you can see a do a lot of it in a 1/2 day but, not all. I like AK and I enjoy the shows so, it will take me most of the day. Now then , if you decide to hop to BB just plan it and leave AK at a set time and go. The final result is the same, you will have a BLAST, what ever you choose.
I don't know about the mid day break, you snooze you loose.

We've done that!!...but without the hotel break in between.

We get to AK at opening...leave after lunch...hop in the van & head straight to the water park. My kids were 6 & 9 when we started this.

You could, but will have to make some choices and will miss out on some of the AK Imagineering masterpieces you only see when taking time to explore the park.

However if you would go to the hotel for a break it might not work at all.

AK is a Park to be savoured, not rushed thru. But, if you want to go & just hit the headliners & then leave to go to BB, you'll still have a good time. You will miss some of the little things that make AK so immersive, but they can always be done another trip. I like to do AK a couple half-days vs. one whole anyways. It gets quite warm in there.

I agree with the other posters that I'd skip the resort break if you're doing this. You can always rest in the lounge chairs at BB

We've done this many times in the summer. It gets so hot at AK in the summer months so we go at opening and enjoy AK for half the day, head to the water park and cool off and we usually eat at the water park as well. We usually do this two or three times during each 2 week vacation.

This is such a difficult question to answer because it really depends on your personal interests. On our last 2 trips my sons asked to go back to Animal Kingdom for an additional day. On our first trip we did not walk through any of the trails where you can see the animals. We rushed through and saw the major things and went to a few shows. On our last trip we tried to go at a slower pace and let them look at the animals and learn. They loved hearing about the animals and also doing the Kidcot stations and getting their books stamped. :cool1:

You can do AK in a half day. You might wish you had more time, but you also might not realize what you missed and be ready to go. It just depends on what you enjoy seeing.

My suggestion is to be flexible and stay at AK all day if you are having fun. Then you can go back to your hotel and enjoy Stormalong Bay at the BC. Remember that BB closes at 6:00 - so I would not take a break before going.

IMHO - If this is your first trip to WDW and you are only going to the parks for 4 days then I would skip the water parks and enjoy the main parks and the hotel pool. :sunny:
