We are leaving in 2 weeks and haven't decided on a place to eat at Animal Kingdom or Disney Studios? We have the dining plan. Please help.... Not sure I'll be able to make reservations for any places there but please let me know your favorites...Thanks

I know I'll be in the minority here but my whole family (and everyone we've travelled with to Disney World) likes the Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom.

At HS, we like Mama Melrose

for us, we never eat at AK - just nothing there appeals to us....

now at HS, we always get lunch ADRs for sci-fi, 50s and brown derby

also tried mama melrose last month and enjoyed it for first time

We did Tusker House at AK for an early breakfast and it was really good. I'd try lunch if I wasn't going to do a breakfast ADR. That's the only thing that appealed to me at AK and the lines at lunch for Flame Tree and Pizzafari (both CS) were monstrously long so I didn't try them.

At DHS, we enjoyed 50's PT, Sci Fi, and Mama Melrose. I like the MM food best (even though I was too full to eat much, I boxed my four cheese pizza and it was ecellent 4 hours later even cold! lol). My kids liked Sci Fi the best, I enjoyed it. And the 50's PT milkshakes were excellent!

ETA: forgot we also liked H&V for breakfast :)

We fell in love with Yak & Yeti on our visit in September--it was the second best meal of our trip (after LeCellier). At the Studios, we always eat at Mama Melrose. We have done 50's Prime Time, Sci-Fi, Brown Derby and H&V. If you wanted one of those, our choices in order of best to worse would be: 50's Prime Time, Sci-Fi, Brown Derby (not worth two credits) and H&V (you couldn't pay us to eat there).

We have planned Boma for out AK day (we are going to check out AKL after dinner) and Sci-Fi for DHS (b/c it is a fun place and the burgers, onion rings and shakes are tasty).

For DHS, we liked Mama Melrose, 50s Prime Time, and Brown Derby probably in that order (though all were worth it for us).

At AK, we really had a great dinner at Tusker House.

AK... I'd say Tusker House breakfast (great buffet!!!); Yak & Yeti was okay, not great, but okay.

HS... Mama Melrose has the best calamari & flatbread!

AKL... Boma, hands down, no competition... we love this place!!!!

AK - for CS, we loved Flame Tree BBQ - great food and lots of it!
for TS, we plan to try Yak & Yeti on our next trip

AKL - I wanted to try Boma for dinner after a day at AK, but the kids looked over the menu and it didn't appeal to them.

HS - For TS, we've eaten at 50s PTC, Mama Melrose, and Brown Derby and enjoyed them all.

I love the food at the Tusker House so that would be my recommendation at AK. I usually don't eat at HS but you can't go wrong with the Brown Derby but I think it takes two dinning credits.

AK - Breakfast at Tusker House and then Yak and Yeti table service (yak and yeti was one of the best meals we had at WDW)

Studios - We had good meals at Sci-Fi, 50's Prime Time, Mama Melrose. Brown Derby was ok but wouldn't rush back.

We just got back yesterday and there was 15 of us. We ate at Tusker House and everyone loved it. !!!!!!

I vote Tusker House (I heard breakfast is good, but we've only had lunch and it was reaaaally good) or Boma if you don't have anything going on that night....

We spent a lot of time in AK on our last visit and I can say that everything we ate was great...but our stand outs were: Tusker House (breakfast), Pizzafari (we went there twice!--long lines moved very quickly), Flame Tree BBQ (awesome food--but eat at an off-peak time because those lines can get long)

We stayed at AKL and enjoyed the Boma breakfast so much that we went back a second time.

You can't go wrong with any of those!

My general opinion of HS restaurants is that the ambiance is great (and with kids probably a MUST DO is Sci-Fi or PT), but the food is nothing to write home about..HOWEVER, I have yet to go to Mama Melrose (on the list for our next trip!).
