I want to get some options on my current reservations and plans for our Animal Kingdom day. It will be our first park day. Our arrival day the day before I have a dinner reservation for Chef Mickeys - could cancel if we do Tusker House. We are traveling in September with my parents and dd 2 and dd 4.

Right now I have a PPO breakfast at Tusker - we aren't huge breakfast people and I'm not sure if it will even be necessary for early park entry at AK.

Lunch - I have another reservation for Tusker house. Would only do one of the two or possibly Flame Tree.

Dinner - two ADRs. One Yack and Yeti, one Rain forest cafe.

If you're doing CMs the night before, you'll meet all the same characters that you'll see at TH.

If nobody's a big breakfast eater, why have a breakfast ADR?. There's no big attraction advantage at AK for a PPO ADR like there is in MK or Epcot. Drop your breakfast ADR.

I wouldn't recommend a big buffet lunch and then another TS meal for dinner. For us that's ay too much food and too much time just sitting in a restaurant. Pick one or the other, and do CS for the other meal. Flame Tree is our usual pick for CS.

If you decide onTS for dinner, I like Yak & Yeti much more than RFC.

Please drop your unwanted ADRs asap so someone else can have them.

I would do Tusker House lunch, drop CM the night before, and either Y&Y counter service or Flame Tree for dinner.

Getting out of the sun midday is glorious. Tusker House lunch is much better food than CM dinner.

You don't mention where you are staying. If you are staying at CR or on the monorail (of WL), Chef Mickey's for the first night is fun. If you are staying anywhere else and don't have your own car, transportation will be a hassle and it's just not worth it IMHO.

If doing Chef Mickey's, skip TH and do a TS lunch (Yak & Yeti or Tiffins) and a QS dinner.

If not doing Chef Mickey's, do TH lunch and QS dinner.

For what it's worth, we MUCH prefer TH to Chef Mickey's. Good food, great characters, better price point.

Breakfast- There's no advantage at AK to a PPO, really. I'd skip it if you're not breakfast people.
Lunch - We were unimpressed with TH for breakfast but maybe it's better at lunch?
Dinner - I would drop both RFC and Y and Y and go eat at Sanaa.

We did Tusker, Y&Y and then Sanaa. The only one we're in a rush to go back to is Sanaa. Y&Y was okay, but if it hadn't been raining we'd have stuck with our original plan of Flame Tree and probably been happier. Y&Y's big win was that as Landry's members we had no wait and didn't need an ADR and it got us out of the rain.

I say cancel the breakfast and use that extra credit to eat at Tiffins for dinner. Just got back yesterday and it was fabulous!

We did lunch at Y and Y and dinner at Tiffins. :)
