Animal Crossing Issues...

Just adorable .... love the glasses ::yes::

Hope to finally meet later tonight ( early tomorrow morning )

You know.... to meet Ian in real life, you would never guess that he had an inner "afro-wearing disco pimp-daddy" inner self....

And then there's the hockey mask/orange prison jumpsuit alter ego, too.....

where's the tag fair when you need her...

I can only hope you're describing his AC personas...:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Help!! Help!!!

DS just caught a Stringfish!:cool1: Now I thought I read somewhere that if you donate it, more will come around?? Is that correct? If thats the case it would certainly explain why we get so many Pond Smelt, Horse Makerel and Sea Bass since those are what we have donated.

I told him to put it in his room until I can get some confirmations on this!:rotfl:

Thanks!!

Save it for the flea market. Villagers are supposed to be paying more for items than Nook, maybe 2-3x as much. The stringfish might mean a lot of extra money on Sun. Maybe donate the next one.

Ummmmm:guilty: how does one participate in the flea market. Im sorry, we are so clueless.

Thank you!

We haven't done one yet either, but villagers will come to your house while you are inside and offer to buy things that are in your room. Likewise you can go to theirs and buy things they have that you like. So if there is anything you want to keep, pick it up and fill the space with stuff you would like to get rid of.

Hey Nancy!! Since it is Sunday in my town can I buy turnips today and then sell them tonight in your town?? I can't wait to come over, I bought the Wii speak but haven't used it yet. Is it easy to set up?
"Kirkjan"

The Wii speak is pretty simple to set up. Follow some easy instructions and it will be done in about 5 mins.

The good thing about having Joan in your town is after you have sold turnips in our town you can go back to yours and buy more with the profits and bring them back to sell again. Also we could come along and buy some turnips for ourselves as well.

Ian

Jan - I have to ask one critical piece of info - what day is it in your town? If it is Sunday the 17 of January, then YES. If not, they'll be spoiled - no matter what you do.

I'm pretty sure that turnips have to be bought and sold in the same week (the programming must have a time stamp on them). We got screwed by buying turnips from a future Sunday in someone else's town (who had their clock set a couple days ahead of our clock) and then going back to our town, which was still on the actual day of the week, which was a Tuesday or Wednesday - can't remember. I went down to my basement to look at them the next day and they were spoiled.

You know - that being said - we can try one batch and see if it works. If it does - then go and get the rest and bring them.

Thanks!! When is the flea market??

Oh and I caught a Stringfish too!!! :cool1: :cool1: He is currently swimming in my house while we decide what to do with him!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Hi Jan - it was nice hearing you tonight - Habeeb a/k/a Greg a/k/a Lois

Conolan wrapped the flea market information up in a nutshell. Thank you.

Here is a longer, more wordy explanation.

Ok, the flea market should be Sunday, January 25. Basically you visit your neighbors and walk into their house. They will tell you something like look around, touch something, etc. If you touch, let's say a couch, your neighbor will say whether it is for sale and how many bells. Then it is up to you to purchase.

When you are in your house, the neighbors will knock and then walk in. They will look at your furniture and ask how many bells. Only have out what you are willing to sell. Put everything else in your closet or dresser and then put that piece of furniture in your pocket.

I time traveled to Sunday, Jan. 25 the other day and this is what I discovered. So I went back to Jan. 22 and only put out the items I want to sell.

I guess I will see what happens. I will say this if your neighbor has a piece of furniture you need or want, they usually sell it cheaper than Nook. So make sure you have a lot of bells for Sunday.

Any corrections, please correct me. And enjoy the flea market event.

Okay - we had a fabulous time!!!! Thanks to Lois and Greg and Jan for a wonderful experience. Especially Jan, for being on Sunday and letting us go back and forth to buy turnips at her place and then sell them for 596 at ours. We all made huge amounts of cash and between Ian and I, with also opening our place and charging strangers admission to sell their turnips at this ungodly price, we made over 7 million bells in one day.

Can I get a Woo Hoo?!?!?!?:cool1: :cool1:

Those of you visiting in the future will see our new fountain and a lighthouse, and two more upgraded houses (for our kids and landscaping attendants).

I stayed up last night till 1:20 AM playing this awesome game. Woohoo!! I made over 3 million bells yesterday!!!! Thanks Nancy and Ian, the crown looks awesome on you. I still don't know where you got your costumes but I haven't really bought anything at Able's or in town so it's probably there. Oh, and by the way it was Jan 11 in my town so I guess the turnips didn't rot. OK, my family thinks I'm insane and obsessed. And they thought my Disboards obsession was bad!

Finally caught a stringfish today!

Go Dave!!!! It was fun playing with you this morning. I'm glad I was up so early wrapping my audition tapes for the Disneyland correspondent position. Wish me luck - I'm emailing them today.

Lois - your tress are growing great.

Jan - same with yours.

Melissa - girl, we have to get you back over and replace a tree with a cedar. We have had such poor luck with growing your tree!!!!

We're going to be open most of the day.

Nancy-
I am going throught AC withdrawal. Stupid family stuff :rotfl: .

I guess I will just have to plant a regular old tree. I was hoping the tree would take and then maybe it would be decorated by the AC gods for Christmas.

Oh well.

I will see if you are around later today. See you soon.

Finally caught a dung beetle last night. DW Lois was asleep by then so it's in the museum as proof.:thumbsup2

Melissa - we are open now under Ian's character. I'm planting all of the flowers that we just got from someone for making a custom design for them.

Greg - You ROCK!!! What was your secret? We still haven't been able to do that! Can't wait to visit your museum!
