Yay!!

Mixing two of my addictions ( Disney & Animal Crossing) together probably isn't a good idea, since I'm probably never going to work again

your times do not have to be the same. Pete's time is never the same as mine when we visit. how many types of fruit are there? I still cannot catch a fish. I think I am lacking the ability fish.

I think 4, plus coconuts. Make sure your not running around the water or they get spooked. Also, just toss it up stream and make sure they can see it, when the bobber goes under keep hitting A.

I started out with pears and got cherries from Pete, Oranges from Grace's friend and apples and peaches last night from Yellowmickeyponchos (Nancy) I don't know where my coconuts came from. I also heard that if you are in Europe they have different things, I don't know if that is true.

Cool, I've only seen the 4 so far, haven't seen any apples yet...

I actually sold my football fish to another character in my town. I think I got a little over 2300 bells for it. I had just sold Tom Nook some fish, but I was thinking he wouldn't take the football fish, after I left the shop I was approached and asked if I had one. At the time I was thinking it was garbage.

That's great - I hadn't bothered getting a friends code yet because I thought I wouldn't be able to travel to other towns due to the day/time differentials. I am so psyched now. If I get a chance, I'm going to get my code this evening. How do you all go about sharing your codes with each other? I'd love get into the loop so to speak. I usually get to play early mornings and then again during the late evening on weekdays. I don't have the Wii speak yet though -

I'm pretty good at fishing. Come on over, I'll try to remember to hold onto some for you (I just catch them and sell them, I haven't caught anything new for the museum in a while).

I'll catch some for you I get quite competative and I'm hoping to do well in the tournament

Once you get the hang of it you tend to be quite lucky and they 'bite' most of the time.

Okay, someone tell me this -- and I've caught nearly every species of fish in trying to do this, but I can't seem to figure it out. When Sally comes up to you and tells you she dropped her house keys in the river and basically hints around that you need to take your fishing pole and help her find them, where the HECK is the DARN key at. I've fished the whole river, the beach, and still I can't "catch" the key.

Also, why is it on AC-Wild World, you can catch & release, but you can't catch & release on City Folk?

I just caught her keys shortly after she asked, so I would think you would too.

Okay - I have hints for you on this - you need to count the times the fish hits the bobber. You can feel each hit on your remote buttons. When he takes the bait, it's a long buzzzzzzz. You will visually see the bobber turn green and go under. If the program means for you to catch it, you can hit the A button any time after that within reason. If you are meant to "lose" the fish, it won't take. Just don't press A like a teenage boy on his first date.... you'll lose it for sure.

If you want to do a joint fishing session to practice, we can get together and try it!

Releasing happens when your pockets are full. Also, if you are standing next to the river and you open your pocket, you can release.

Mine is a Horse Mackerel tournament. I'm in the lead and took the lead three times. You get a prize each time your take the lead, even if you beat yourself.

Mine are cheap right now, 64 bells.

Ok, I don't have time to read thru all the posts right now, but maybe one of you veteran players can help me....I can't for the life of me figure out how I can get started at growing turnips?! This has frustrated me to no end. My DS has the hint book, but....being the absent minded, preteen that he is, cannot remember where the heck he put it!!!!!!!!

You can't grow turnips, you have to buy them from the lady selling them on Sundays. Then you have a week to sell them to Nook or sell them in to another Nook in someones town.

I have Horse Mackerol too. I am in the lead with an 18.5 inch one. I got a Mama Bear. But as a past winner I know that you get a trophy if you win in the end.

Ours is a horse mackeral. My son took the lead from me earlier.

I did get to finally meet Phineas today in the city and got a pinwheel.
