Today we got our Shark Tooth! So now our fossil collection is finally COMPLETE!!!

YAY when you get it again I have dibs on that one..

Does a black rose look like a dark purple? I have a dark purple rose today, so I was wondering if that's what a black rose looks like.

Just pick it up and you will know for sure. I thought it was dark purple at first then I picked it up and it was black..

T, do you still need that fossil I was holding for you? I could just send it in the mail. Oh and let me know if you get the present I sent you I "met" another friend while I was playing in Birdtown yesterday. I went to her town and oh my, I can't even explain it, but she has all of her stuff laying out about her town so you can copy it for your catalog. She has a friend in Japan, so I copied a couple of items that you can only get if you are playing in Japan. Very cool

I'm probably the only one who is not breeding flowers and making the town perfect. To make the town perfect sounds time consuming. Maybe once we get our lighthouse or the windmill, and once we get the full upgrade of our house and get all our furnitures we want and need, then maybe we can work on our town. But right now, no one seems to want to work on the town, which is fine by me.

I'm just excited for those who got a perfect town and breeding their flowers. Hoooray!!

3leafs.. do you have a picture or pictures of those flowers? And by the way, thanks for posting pictures. I love seeing pictures of your town. You are welcome to post more pics!

I am the same way, not bothering to make the town perfect. I played the DS version for months and made my town perfect and after that it wasn't much to shoot for, so I am concentrating on paying for all the upgrades and stuff first then going for prefect!

I really do need to work on my flowers tho, I only have a few pink tulips and one pink rose.

We donated 400,000 and got our fountain. We did not think we got it because we just assumed there would be a message (like the bridge) so we went to donate another 100,000 and thats when we were told they were building the fountain already!!! We are now saving up for the lighthouse!!

I am still trying to get all my fountain...and windmill. Is the fountain 400,00 or 500,000 at one time? I keep reading different amounts.

To get the fountain you have to donate a total of 500,000 bells. That includes the 100,000 you had to donate to get the 3rd bridge, so it's 400,000 after the bridge. For the lighthouse/windmill, you have to donate an additional 1,000,000 bells on top of the 500,000 needed for the fountain.

How are you getting hybrids to grow? I had a pink tulip a while ago but I have no idea how I got it. And now that's I'm trying, no luck. What's the trick?

In an earlier post, 3Leafs posted a guide to growing hybrids. It told which ones to put together to get specific hybrids. I started with that gude and planted pairs of flowers all over my town. I also started planting bunches of flowers in places where I wanted the grass to grow in a bit. And then things just started multiplying!

How do you copy something into your catalog?

Once you've picked an item up, it's then in your catalog. So if someone has an item that you want, all you need to do is to pick it up. Even if you put it right back down, it's still in your catalog. You can then go to Tom Nooks and ask to see the catalog and order the item you need.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention earlier with all the excitement and all that when I turned on the game this morning Nintendo sent me a letter with a gift... it was a Red Pikmin... which is a red hat that goes under your chin with a pointy top and has a green leaf coming out!

I have no idea what a "pikmin" is!

I got one too! DD3 said I looked like an apple. It seemed to attract butterflies. Or I just stood still too long.

Pikmin are the little creatures from the "Pikmin" games series, I've never played it, but people say it's a good puzzle game.
