I missed all the fun today. I have a sick son...fever, stomach stuff.....basic yuck But he's a kid and he will recover. My FIL however is still coughing and really needs to see a doctor. Lew's going to play "parent" tomorrow and take him to the emergency room. I actually hope he'll be admitted because we're also concerned with the circulation in his legs. I'll keep you posted.

I admit that I did not want Carol to be in the situation she was, I noticed the error and PM'd her straight off, but I guess by the time she saw my PM, too late. I am heartily surprised that the men did not take up on it. They will get their chance again, I am sure.

Today I went to the mall in Salem, NH. It is closer and newer than Manchester. And it has TDS, although I bought nothing there. I did manage to get 3 more pair of knee socks (not Fonzie style), a new reg hat, red scarf and red leather gloves. I do love red, it make me feel happy when I wear it. Tomorrow, we sign for the house. I can't wait. It will give me a purpose in life, I can go up and watch the progress and make sure they do the kitchen the way I want it.

Wonder what's for dinner, I did not take anything out of the freezer, there isn't any pizza in there, hmmmm, maybe Pete will spring for Chinese?

Congrats Carol on passing the teSt !!!
Although it wasn't a homemade gift, my sister had the same experience w/ her son at Christmastime as you did w/ the scarf. His major gift was a really nice coat he had wanted .... well he came home a few days before Christmas wearing a version of it - his girlfriend gave it to him ! My sister said she tried to put her best face forward and tell him how nice it was !

Gail, congrats on the trip to the Mohegan Sun .... I can meet you there no problem !

Carol as a terrible typer at times (I see many typos in my posts here) I just have fun with ones like that. Then again I should say that more people notice mine and make silly comments aobut them.

Still snowing here... I have a teeny vent though... Luis parked in the driveway and didn't shovel after himself!!! Annoys me to death to have ice tacks on my driveway!!!

I was an evil mom tonight. I didn't let Amy go to a friend's house to spend the night. Her room has been a disaster again for over a week, so I told her she needed to stay home and straighten it up. It's still not clean and she was pretty teary. What an evening!

Allen knew my back was hurting today, so he got pizza for dinner. Sometimes I think marrying him was the best idea I ever had.

Wow! Quiet evening here!
Billy and I went to the gym after work and then were going to hit Panera for some soup and salad, but when we came out, it had been snowing and the roads were terrible! We drove straight home and I whipped up something here instead.
I actually fell asleep at 10:00 and woke up about an hour ago. Thought I'd read here for a while before heading back to bed.

Gail, sorry to hear that Matt is sick! And I hope your FIL feels better soon! I was SO hoping my mom didn't catch my awful cold, so far so good.

Morning!
Busy day ahead and I'm not sure when I'll make it home since there's a birthday party this evening for one of our great-nieces. Matt seems better...phew...but he's going to hang at my mom's while I head here and there. EB has soccer practice and will probably also end up at Grandma's house. My plan is to do some work in the apartment. Lew & BIL will be taking Dad to the ER.

Good morning everyone.

First off, I was not at all offended by the comments about my error. I know it is all in fun. But if Gail wants to chose me anyway, that would be ok.

Second, I too am an evil mom. Sarah wanted to go to Valley Forge this morning with her BF to a karate show. It snowed about 1 - 2 inches last night and froze on the roads. The Philadelphia news said that roads were very slippery and "accidents were too numerous to mention." I95 had been closed due to accidents. I said Sarah couldn't go until at least 10 AM, and maybe not then. (They were going to leave at 8.) Better safe than sorry.

I was supposed to go to Baltimore this morning but I am going to have to wait on that too.

Soooooo, here I sit DISsing. Isn't all bad.

Please send some good wishes our way my friends. I'm very concerned about my FIL. It sounds like he has pneumonia and really should have been taken to the hospital long before now but some people are having trouble breaking out of "roles" they play in this family and just make a decision. Lew's on his way now and plans to call 911 because he doesn't think they can get him out on their own.

I'll keep you posted.

Gail~I'm glad that Matt's feeling better....I'm sending good thoughts for his continued recovery. How did FIL do at the hospital? Did he have to stay?

Carol & MP~I too was an evil Mom last night Meg was supposed to turn in fundraiser $ & drop something off to one of her teachers on Thursday & she is claiming that old standby excuse 'I forgot' I HATE that excuse~just tell me you didn't bother!! I'm not stupid!!1 so I told her that she needed to turn it in on Friday or she was gonna get grounded......guess what~she forgot again so mean old Mom said she couldn't go snowboarding last night.

Today Matt has a hockey game about 1/2 hour away that starts at 12:30. Tomorrow he has a game at 3 & DH promised to take his father to a model railroad show so I'll be on my own at that game.

What's for dinner tonight????? I'm thinking about spaghetti after all the spaghetti talk around here yesterday....
