Thanks Gail... I have these stupid diagrams that teach me how to start something called Casting On (or off, they used both) and I am clueless with what I am supposed to be doing :o I get the slip knot and then I am toast!

Heading out to Target to find Once Upon A Time in Mexico... can't believe I forgot it when I was at Wally World

Hi Guys!
Thanks for the good wishes & prayers for Kelly~I so wish she didn't have to go through all this again.

E!~Did you find out what you needed to know about the knitting? I wouldn't be able to help you but I could ask MIL tomorrow. She does a lot of knitting.

Good Evening All,

No time to read all of the pages, but I did read the last few entries.

Enough to say:

 to you and your friend Lars.

princess: Happy Birthday to Meghan!

 to everyone else.

I purposefully stayed away from computer today because I had so much running around and packing to do for tomorrow!

I finally talked DH into letting me stay one extra day and coming home with my friend, Sue, instead of her having to drive me to airport a day early. I will be back late Tuesday night now! :Pinkbounc
Of course, this meant arranging more kids schedules, babysitters, and changing my plane ticket, etc. But WORTH IT!!!!!

I will have a margarita for you all in Epcot on Friday! I am going to email LK4 a picture of the two of us and she said she would post it.

take care all.
See ya when I get back.
(wish I could fit you all in my suitcase!)

Donna

Sandi, how did you get used to doing things without your kids?? I am going to have a hard time doing things without Sarah.
We have gone to the ocean every summer for the past 17 years but we did not rent a place for this summer. Too many things up in the air. I am afraid we will really miss this. This is really going to be a year of change.

Carol, I'm still not used to it. When we went away to Punta Cana last winter with no kids, it was wierd!!

I also did not rent a house at the beach this coming summer. There seemed to just be too much going on with the wedding and house renovations. I figured we could always just book a weekend if we're missing it too bad.

Happy 4th Birthday Meghan!!

Lars, Saying a prayer for your friend, Kelly.:grouphug:

We have our final meeting with the architect tomorrow night, I need to go over those plans one last time and make sure everything is where I want it to be!!

Have a *Magical* Trip
Donna & Sue!!!
Enjoy every moment!!!
and have a layered margarita for me! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Happy Birthday Meghan !!

Prayers for your friend Kelly and hugs for you Laura

That quote I posted earlier was from I Love Lucy .... that is one of my favorite shows of all time .. I've seen them all tons of times, can repeat a lot of the dialogue while watching and I still laugh ...
"I am not the father of that cheese" is from an episode where Lucy and Ricky were flying home from Europe, Lucy had bought a huge cheese for her mom and wrapped it up like a baby in a blanket so she could get it home for free....

Back to NY for work until Friday ..... catch you on the weekend !

Lars, I have a few who have offered to try to help me the best they can... hopefully one of them will know what to do :)

Donna, have an aboslutely wonderful & magical trip!!!!!!!!!

Sandi, I hope all goes well with your architecht :)

Hey everyone...sorry I've been MIA....been a rough week between school, trying to get some work done, and the normal juggling of three kids with busy social lives...

Not going to try to catchup.....not that I don't care about each and every one of you...I'm just wiped out tonight...

E! did you figure out how to cast on? it sounds a lot harder than it is...this site has some pretty good visuals for you

Have a great trip Donna & Sue! :earsgirl: :sunny: :earsgirl:

That's a good site Steph.....good luck E ....let us know how it goes!

BTW.....I'd love a scarf and remember, practice makes perfect!!!
::yes::

You'll all laugh at this... I tried doing that cast on thing left handed and guess what, I got it first try  I must have spent 20 minutes trying to do it right handed to no avail!

Steph, thanks for that site, I'll try that tomorrow and see if I can get this right handed stitching down. If not I suppose left handed will work for me :)

Oh and take it easy Steph... sounds like you have been quite busy lately!

I'll remember that Gail ;) Let's see the scaves should be ready by next winter :p

Glad someone else was able to help. I learned to knit a rectangle when I was in elementary school. I made several Barbie blankets. It has been a LONG time since I made an attempt to knit, but I think the basics aren't too hard. Amy wants to learn to crochet. I did that in high school, and I don't know if it will come back to me or not. Is it like riding a bike? :p

Have a magical trip Donna and Sue! We'll be thinking of you.

I remember the cheese episode of Lucy, now that you mention it. I still watch her shows once in a while. I think the chocolates one is my favorite.

My head hurts. I think because I didn't get enough sleep last night. So I am heading to bed. Have a good night's sleep everyone. :wave2:

have a great trip Donna and Sue!! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

here's another quote:

"It's a cruel cruel world all you little boys and girls"

Morning!

Have a wonderful trip Donna & Sue!!:earsgirl: :earsgirl:

E, There is such beautiful yarn out there! A friend of mine made me a scarf for Christmas and it is absolutely gorgeous!! It makes me want to learn to knit! I'll try to post a photo of it later today.

Everyone have a great Day!!

It is Melissa! I used to crochet all the time.....I made afghans for friends in college......and more when we all got married and started having babies. Sad to say my last baby afghan was for Matt when life speeded up a bit. Last fall I dug out my crochet hook and made EB a Gryffindor scarf to go with her Harry Potter Halloween costume and it was easy to pick up again.

E - Next winter is fine for my scarf! :D

I woke up with a sore throat so it looks like Lew has kindly shared his cold with me! It would be my long day at work too!

hello, i've just popped over from the riddle thread to say hello.

Little bit of info about me......married for just over a year, no kids, work for an epilepsy charity (it's 11.30am here just now, so supposed to be working!!), been to disney twice (once for honeymoon) going back in May.

looking forward to getting to know you all ::yes:: :wave2:

p.s. real name camilla

Hi Camilla!
You will be the second Angel from England......you'll meet Gaspode soon.
WELCOME!!

Now Camilla (what a cool name!) ya need to think of an Angel name for yourself! Look at the bottom (no smart comments Angels) of most of the Angels here & you'll get the idea!

Now Lars, don't push the uniform thing or that will scare her off more than anything:eek:

Oh & CS it's from Spy Kids (Floops song) ;)

Darn, John beat me to it! I knew that quote was from Spy Kids. My kids watch that movie tons of times.

Howdy Camilla! It's great to see you here! And Lars, she is our first Scottish riddler - she's just living in England. I made the same mistake when I welcomed her to the riddle thread! :o
