Still warm here, but it rained hard all night.

Today is Grandparent's day at Lela's school. Since MIL was already down, she and DW will attend.

My parents were coming through town to go to North Alabama to visit relatives so they are staying in Montgomery overnight and will also attend.

They are letting the kids go at half a day today to go home with grandparents so I will take off at noon and go home to join everyone.

MIL has visited all of two of the ten or so nursing homes I gave her directions to (to apply for a job). I can't believe how slow and how directionally impaired she is. She spent hours lost yesterday but would not call for help.

Yes, we do have a good relationship and she is not scared to tell me she's lost; I think it just embarrasses her too much. She has a map of the city, phone numbers and addresses of the businesses, and several mapquest pages printed out with detailed notes of specific areas.

She'll be taking off work at her job again to come back down here because she wants to go back home after lunch today. Oh well....

Why did I ever tell the scrapbook store I was available on Thursday nights???? Although we closed 1/2 hour early last night. The weather was bad and there was no one coming in. There were maybe 3 customers in my first hour, after that nobody. The owner and I sat in the classroom just chatting all night. Finally she said, lets just close up and go home to watch ER. Fine by me, so we were out the door at 8:30.

Hello,
Back from my job interview. (kids went to the neighbors).
Interview went well although it makes me a little nervous how disorganized and unprepared the woman was. I think the job is mine if I want it (still deciding but I think I do) but I have to wait to hear from their HR dept.
It is for a casual home care position visiting and assessing patients in their homes in my area.

It is so wet and miserable out. Good day to stay in and watch POTC with the kids.

Been a busy day here... my group at work went out and were nice enough to pay for my lunch in honor of my birthday. We had two to celebrate (mine and someone's on Sunday) so that was cool
