ok, here's the concert story (after I post this I am off to read what Ive missed the past couple days)

My town absolutely can not control a crowd. I almost got assaulted...technically I did. Some guy grabbed my wrist and was coming at me.
Let me get to that. I had asked a nice couple to save me a small spot of grass when I came home to get my chair. Surprisingly, they had saved it for me.
When I got home I had gotten an email from a friend and she wanted to join me. At this point I was planning to go alone. Anyway, she and her DH got here, we got to the shuttle parking lot and headed over to the fest grounds. That couple had saved my spot and we put down my small blanket and waited the 2 hours for the show to start. The family on the blanket in front of us was a lady I had met at kindergarten screening last week. She graciously invited us to join her at the fence when the concert started :)
So while we are waiting, the mass of people decides my blanket looks like a good path. Said blanket ended up attached to someones foot to never be seen again. No big loss, it was a cheap piece of junk.
By this point we are wall to wall people. and more and more keep pouring on to the feild. The concert is about to start, so we moved up with the kindergarten lady.
Next to the kindergaten lady is a group, 2 couples and a couple of small kids. As I am walking toward the spot I was invited ot share, the drunk lady from the group stands up, gets in my face 'oh blah no you dont' I just looked at her and told her I was invited to share someone elses spot, I wasnt going near her. She proceeded to open her cooler about a dozen times making sure it slammed my leg each time.
The kindergarten lady and I are happily dancing, singing and snapping pics, when the druken husband starts on us. "get your fat butts out of my spot witch. Get the - away from me, we have been her all darn day....blah blah blah. Then he starts yelling at us for 'illegally recording' So he decides to police this action himself by putting fans in front of our lenses so we cant take pics. He also knocked the other lady's camera out of her hand. As soon as he loosened his grip on the fan we managed to get it away from him and toss it. It was at that point when he grabbed my by the wrist and started twisting my hand calling me all sorts of colorful names.
I was scared, but could not move. I was trying to flag down a cop or security but noone noticed. After I regained my compousure, we (my GF and her DH) decided to leave. I did stop and tell a cop what ahd happened. The cops wanted me to go back and point out the guy, but my girlfriend did that for me. I was worried about the kindergarten mom and thought the cops needed to get over there and intervene.
Lou is annoyed that I didnt press charges against the guy, and now that I am home I am annoyed too. My wrist really hurts where he grabbed me, nice bump too.
As far as Rick, I think I would have enjoyed myself more had it not been so crowded. But from what I did get to see....WOW. At one point he had some roadies pratically giving him stitches on stage when he sliced open his hand breaking a guitar.
Im bummed that I didnt have that good of a time, pissed that some drunk got the better of me, and really annoyed I didnt get to stay and hear all my old favorites. But I did buy his new CD.
I did manage to get a couple good pics. I need to edit them a bit and make them better. Ill post them tomorrow or something.

bethany you can email me x rated post lol
I copied the email I sent to my other loop....I think you can probably all figure out where I edited it

Sounds like everyone had a really nice weekend.

Happy Birthday Cami:cake:

We worked the Cub Scout pop tent this morning and the boys had a blast. We were on the early shift (during the parade) so we were very slow. At one point it started to drizzle and the Fest Queen and her court asked if they could take refuge under our tent while they waited for their trolley for the parade. Sam and Jack looked at hese girls like they were princesses....Actually, Sam kept calling them the princesses.

The evening with my in-laws went well. She had fixed a lovely dinner. I'm always happy when I don't have to cook. ;)

Bethany, hope nothing is broken. Sounds like a real jerk. Hope you're planning to do a "princess" page with those pics. They are too cute.

Sorry you forgot your camera, Sandi. Sounds like fun holding that darling baby.

Star, I bet your cruise will still be great. They'll keep you away from pesky hurricanes. And the Disney ships have stablizing "wings" that can go out under the water to keep it from being too rough. So when do you head for Florida?

I think LK has been biten by the scrapbook bug!

E, I wanted a nap, but it wasn't meant to be.

I got another email from the Chemistry teacher. She ended it by saying "His good attitude and your willingness to help him will ensure his success in chemistry." Guess it's a good think I didn't chew her out in the beginning. Sounds like she is really sorry that there was a misunderstanding and she's willing to work with us. So no angel backup is needed at this time.

I've been kind of blue today. Maybe it's just summer coming to an end? Doesn't help that we ran ourselves ragged this weekend. I hope to unwind a little tomorrow.

morning all

Star- i'm sure the cruise will go well and you'll have a great time, can't wait to hear all about it

Yes we do. I was just thrown by the way you worded it. Thought it might be some weird European ritual! :p

Glad you had a good day!

Morning!

Cami, I don't believe I ever had an Indian meal.

Bethany, I can't believe that happened to you.

MP, I always feel that way at the end of summer. Yesterday I had to say goodbye to everyone at our pool that we belong to.:(

Boy, I miss one day here and have 7 pages to catch up on.

Cami, a belated Happy Birthday to you. And what is an Indian dinner?

Bethany, sorry your concert had a bad ending.

Sandy, I won tickets to see Defending the Caveman several years back. It was funny.

Star, have a great time on your cruise.

MP, I hope Amy's ear is feeling better.

We went to a pot luck at one of my coworkers homes Sunday. At the last minute I told the kids they didn't have to go, which was a good move because they would have been bored to death. And this gave Sarah a chance to see one of her friends. When we got home we took the kids out for ice cream.

Then on Monday we went to Six Flags American outside of DC. It was a gray kind of cool day. This was bad because we didn't really want to do the water park but good because the crowds were non-existant. The kids just walked onto the roller coasters, no wait at all. The park didn't open until 10:30 and by about 3 or 4, we had done it all. So, we went out to dinner and took Sarah back to her dorm (about 25 minutes away) and were home by 9PM. A good day!

Off to work. :wave2:

We have Indian food from India and also Native American foods. You find a little of everything in Oklahoma. :p

Sandi, I love fall and winter. It just don't like the idea that another season is over. It's starting to get dark earlier in the evening. Plus, it's always depressing when you have to start to get up early and you are a night owl. I hate having to relearn going to bed at a decent hour every fall.

Amy has to be at school early this morning. The band is meeting early today because this is the beginning of Spirit Week. Guess they are playing for an assembly or something.

I better get moving. I'll BBL. Have a great morning everyone!

Carol, we cross-posted. Yes, Amy's ear is a tiny bit better. Poor kid has really had it the last week or so. It's still hurting, but not as much. Now her throat is bothering her, though. Probably a drainage thing, so it may be a good sign.

Guess who's sneaking in? ;) :p

Until they call me on it, I will continue to come by so I guess there does not have to be a gagg..flo..her..group of uniformed angels coming to my rescue.

Not that it would not be welcomed, of course!

Why should Sam be the only happy guy? ;)

Cami, a happy belated birthday :Pinkbounc :bounce:

We are only getting a little rain from Frances; it looks like it decided to go Georgia way.

Star, I hope your cruise goes well; we are looking forward to hearing about it. My suggestion was going to be to wait and join Elaine and Luis on their cruise to Mexico but if you must go now...

We went to visit Rebecca's grandfather over the weekend. I took the girls to the park Sunday morning where Abigail stepped in fire ants.

Since it is September and we had a 3 hour road trip that can only mean one thing...yep..Mrs. AA pulled out the Christmas music. Welcome to my world for the next 4 months. :teeth:

hi AA, glad you can still pop by

Mrs. AA pulled out the Christmas music. Welcome to my world for the next 4 months.

but did you hear this one.....

Merry Christmas From The Family

Mom got drunk and Dad got drunk
At our Christmas party
We were drinkin' champagne punch
And homemade eggnog
Little sister brought her new boyfriend
He was a Mexican
We didn't know what to think of him
Til he sang Feliz Navidad
Feliz Navidad

Brother Ken brought his kids with him
The three from his first wife Lynn
And the two identical twins
From his second wife Mary Nell
Of course he brought his new wife Kaye
Who talks all about AA
Chain smokin' while the stereo plays
Noel, Noel, The first Noel

Carve the turkey turn the ball game on
Mix Margaritas when the eggnog's gone
Send somebody to the Quik-Pak store
We need some ice and an extension cord
A can of bean dip and some Diet Rite
A box of pampers , some Marlboro Lights
Hallelujah everybody say cheese
Merry Christmas from the family

Fran and Rita drove from Harlingen
I can't remember how I'm kin to them
But when they tried to plug their motor home in
They blew our christmas lights
Cousin David knew just what went wrong
So we all waited on our front lawn
He threw the breaker and the lights came on
And we sang Silent Night
Oh Silent Night o' holy night

Carve the turkey turn the ballgame on
Mix Bloody Marys cause we all want one
Send somebody to the Stop 'n Go
We need some celery and a can of fake snow
A bag of lemons and some Diet Sprite
A box of midol, some Salem Lights
Hallelujah everybody say cheese
Merry Christmas from the family Feliz Navidad.
