This was our first day of school as well. The kids got ready in record time. Wonder how long that will last? They were very concerned when I told them they wouldn't have time to regroup before we head out this afternoon. So they were running around grabbing items they wanted in the car for the trip. I did the back to school pictures and got everyone out the door on time. Now to finish packing.

Carolyn and I must have DH's that are related. I'm dealing with the same problem today. Allen loves to use his bank card to pay for things, but the problem is that he doesn't see the balance when he does it. We don't get paid until Friday and we don't have enough in the bank to cover a check. Sigh. He's going to our credit union to transfer money at lunch. Cross your fingers that it's in time! I HATE bouncing checks!

DH is coming home from work early today. I gave David permission to come home after 5th hour. He'll only miss swimming and he did that all summer. I'll go get Amy during her last class and we'll hit the road around 3:00. We're going the long way tonight. There is a restaurant in Abiline, KS that we love. We decided to go that route so we could eat there. So if you don't hear from me again, I'll be back on Friday.

Just back from the dr. and grocery store/pharmacy.

Busy day today so far..................worked til noon....ran to Target & the Grocery w/ Dylan......home for lunch......gotta leave for my brother's house at 4 pm to drop Dylan off to go to the Tiger game with him tonight......

We survived the day with no tears, and only a little snooping on my part.
He got on the bus no problems and I was off to meet the bus at school (also to do some volunteer time) He hopped off the bus looked for his room number and marched right over to the group that was meeting the teacher.
They went on their way and I headed to help the kindergarten teacher.
I had to snoop a bit when the whole school was in an assembly right across the hall from the kidergarten screening area. Sam was singing along and recited the Pledge with the rest of the school...I was so proud. He spotted me, waved, blew a kiss, and went back to laughing with his friends.
Good news...if you remember me complaining about the OT he had last year...she is GONE, HISTORY, OUT OF THERE!!!!!!!!!!. She has left the district and a new OT is in the school. I found out today that we might be getting the OT he had in pre-school. I am thrilled, she was wonderful. If Sam isnt on her case list, she is still the OT coordinator for the entire school, so I know she will keep an eye on his therapy.

Thats it from here...I didnt have a chance ot get bored since I got home at noon then had to run to the scrapbook store for some paper to finish a project. The bus was 15 minutes behind me when I got home. I dont think my boredom will hit until next week since I am volunteering with kindergarten tomorrow and Friday.

LK - your kids are mirroring mine - EB is starting to approach Matt's height. So far he hasn't really noticed but I have!

Dh has somehow managed to come in a little early and suprise me so I have forgotten what else I was going to say. I guess I better get off here and get dinner on the table.

HI all....


busy day here.....running here there and everywhere!
Had a nice breakfast with LK, Sue and another friend of ours, also a Sue. There were lots of other mom's there with the same idea!

Ran some errands....had lots of stuff to do around here.....but still managed to take some time doing some "me" things.... .......It was extremely quiet here all day though!
NO TV....NO in and out......no noise!........


of course we had bus problems.....(it's not the first day of school if I dont have to call the bus guy....( I REALLY HATE HIM) ...and I dont say that LIGHTLY!...........

But the kids had a great day at school...they both loved their teachers and had friends they knew in their class, so it looks like we all survived unharmed!!


gotta go find something for dinner since Dan came home unexpectantly .....he was supposed to go golfing so I didnt cook....

Carolyn, thanks... in the NW area they mostly started this week with school. I don't really know much about Columbus, I admit. Dublin, I think, still starts after Labor Day. I could tell this week the changes in the traffic patterns already

Why is it so quiet around here? Everyone must be chatted out.

Glad everyone's school days went well.

Donna - I already had to call the bus garage when the card sent home had Brendan at a different bus stop. Normally you would get this nasty lady on the phone, but this time I got the guy in charge and he was so nice.

Kids are in bed - I'm loving this part of getting ready for school. I just noticed that all of Brendan's socks are dirty - so off to the washing machine for them. I'm used to him just wearing his flip flops around.
