I'm so happy for the LKs........you've made me so proud.

Course I've just spent the last 1.5 hours cleaning up the outside lawn area of our house so we can put up the "Welcome Race Fans" banners that we've *ahem* AQUIRED *ahem* over the years.....can't have the neighborhood looking like a shanty town.

Lars..you wanna tell them what I'll be doing for fun next weekend after the races??? Maybe you should let Matt tell them instead....

nice!

Hi all, back from my trip down "south" My grandma is doing as well as a 93 year old can be... just odd. I have pics of her taking care of me as a child when my mom was sick and now it's gone full circle... she needs help from me doing many of the things she used to.

Anyway, it was a nice day but honestly a little bummed... and since I don't want to go into it, I'll leave now.

Oh btw, ALAN, CLEAN IT OUT!!!!!!!!
Thanks ;)

Good evening everyone.

First really hot day we've had in a while. But it is cooling down already. NO need for the A/C.

I am feeling a little better. I went to the local beauty school this morning and had my hair shampooed, trimmed and blown dry for $8.50. Can't beat that. Then DH and I went out for bagel sandwiches for lunch.

Gail, great pics. Thanks for helping her out Lou.

Laura, here you can get your permit at 15 years and 9 months. Have to hold it 4 months, take driver's ed, and drive supervised for 40 hours then can test for your license. It does seem a little backwards to take the written test before taking driver's ed. It cost about $300 here. In neighboring Delaware it is provided free in the public schools.

We are going out for ice cream in a bit. Have to live a little.

Thanks for all the PMs folks! I got to watch my Mets get pounded by the Phils today  but at least it was a beautiful day for a game.

Here are the last of the Maui pix. These are my favorite and still don't even come close to what you experience by being there. All of these pictures are the results of rock formations from the volcanic lava which produced the black sand beaches as well.

I hope I haven't bored anyone with these but this is one of the few stops on our tour where I can actually use real photos that I took (although wait until you see what I have planned for when we tour WDW....;) )

Volcanic Rock Formations

In Oklahoma, you have to be 15 1/2 to get your permit. To get your license, you only have to pass the tests. No driver's ed or logged practice time is required. It's just important because it lowers your insurance.

I've enjoyed the photos, Lou. I've never been to Hawaii.

It's cooler here today. We considered going to the drive-in, but White Chicks was the first showing. :( Spiderman 2 wasn't until 11:30, and that is the one that the family wanted to see. That would make it hard to get up for church, so we're chucking that plan. Oh well.

Brushed two of the dogs and the cat today, folded and hung several loads of clothes, cleaned the bathrooms, rolled a million pairs of socks, cleaned the glass doors and filled the pond in the backyard. Whew! It's been a busy day. Now, I'm off to take care of Mom's house and pick up pizza for dinner. I'm taking the lazy way out tonight. :teeth:

Hi Angels! Some nice pics these last few days. (Some scary pic too--I know if I were the bad guy I would have run the other way. )::yes::

Lou, those are really fantastic pictures of Hawaii. I'll have to add Hawaii to my list of things to do if I ever hit the lottery!

Carol - that's a fantastic price for a hair cut!!

AA and Steph, I'm glad Logan has done ya proud. And Steph - did you "acquire" those banners like you "acquired" a fishbowl lately???

E - glad to hear your grandma is doing well. It must be hard having to help her take care of herself. :(

Hi there Lily! Any WDW pictures from your trip?

Evening All!

LK - I keep meaning to ask, I only see a red "x" for the picture of Logan and Leah. Did you change it recently?

MP - slow down girl! pizza is by no means taking the lazy way out, just the easiest!

Lou - thanks for more pics of Hawaii! I was watching part of the game looking for you!

Lily - did you enjoy your time at WDW?! weren't you down there when Gail was?

E - LK's and my grandma lived till she was 93. Never lost any memory and she loved watching the Pirates. She died 1 month before my wedding.:( I know it's hard to see them get older and require help.

Carol - I think it might be an ice cream night for me too.

Ummmm, Donna - nice to see you stop by.:o

Boring day here. It rained all day. DH didn't get home until 7 from golfing. I hate days like this.

Finally got two minutes to jump on this contraption.

Went to see the Met game with the family....what a bunch of Losers..............the METS, not the family! Everytime I left my seat to get one of the girls something the Mets seemed to do better  I had the guys in front of us and the guys behind us convinced I was a jinx, everytime I went to sit down they kept yelling at me to leave so I had to keep leaving my seat!!!!!!! and getting :drinking1::D

Nice weather for a baseball game though...fun despite to loser team...

The family is watching the first Spiderman movie. Guess they figured if we weren't going to see the new one, they'd watch the old one again.

I'm playing around on the computer when I'm not folding clothes. Where do all these clothes come from? Surely I don't buy them all, do I? Now, I just have to get the family to put them all away.

Hi Everyone:wave2:

We had a quiet night here........got carry out chicken & went to Blockbuster for a movie:D

Meg's sleeping over at ther friends & all 3 of the men in my life are already zzzzzzzzzzzing..........................I get some time to myself:Pinkbounc YAY!!! I am sure that all of you Angels understand how wonderful a few hours of time to do whatever you want without anyone needing you to do something for them is!:Pinkbounc
I think I'll Dis for a few & then read:D

We got our ice cream and it was yummy.

DH rented the movie Traffic. I started watching but an hour was all I could take.

Sounds like a nice night at the ballgame for the Bons.

Lars, always nice to have some "me" time.

Lou....your stash of pics never ceases to amaze me. Had that been a black and white cat it would have looked just like Inky trying to rescue Rebel from the fridge.

As far as the food in the fridge...those were pre-Sam days so there really wasnt much more than condiments, soda and beer in there at the time. It looked like he was pretty much stuck by the crisper drawer the entire time.

Im beat....we did some running this morning, then I worked 11:30-7:30, went for Chinese for dinner then off to Meijer for needed household stuff. I am off to bed. Night all :wave2:
