Good Morning!:sunny:

Didn't do much yesterday. Managed to clean only one closet. Read the Hobbitt for a while. I am kind of enjoying it. Tried to go see ROTK with LK and SB but that didn't work out. We will have too try again.
Today my inlaws are coming for dinner. I am making prime rib and twice baked potatoes. I will be cooking all day but I enjoy it when it is for a dinner party. I hope I can find good strawberries because I want to make strawberry shortcake for dessert!

Sandi, enjoyed the 78 degree day but could have done without the wind. BUt it made yesterday that much more yukky! Very exciting about your dress. What color is it?

E: Nothing like a good sale! I am still looking for bedding for our bedroom. I haven't found anything I like yet. (and I have been looking for a couple years).

Gail: glad the volcano went well! (tell Matt that Pitt won again and I will see him in the Big East! Matt)

Carol, I think if your kitchen is that sparkly you should go out for breakfast too. (you wouldn't want it to get dirty after you worked so hard!)

Merry: congrats to AMy and David. Woo Hoo your counter is under 1 week!

 to everyone else!

Good morning everyone :)

Sandi, I hope everything goes well for the wedding plans with BB. I bet you will be pretty busy between now and the wedding!

:wave2: Hi Gail & LK

Donna, I hope you have a good dinner with your inlaws! Prepping for things like that can actually be fun for me :) ANd I hope some day you find good bedding! I know I lucked out on mine!

Good Morning

we ran around all day yesterday....lots of boy's Adventurer's toys $1.99 at the Disney store. Gotta love getting my CM discount off the sale prices. I think the regular price on the stuff was $12.50 or $14.50. I added a few sets to my emergency gift closet. I also picked up some small misc stuff in the mall.

Today we are still on a mission to find DH a backpack for WDW. We are heading to the Land's End outlet and to Eddie Bauer.

Other than that not much planned. Lou is making breakfast as I type. We will head out as soon as we are done eating.

Have a good day all :)

Good morning everyone.

You all certainly were busy yesterday.

Gail, I am sure you are glad the volcano is done.

E, great bargain on the bedding. I love a good bargain.

MP, congrats to David and Amy.

Too many others and things done to remember. :wave2: to you all.

When do we expect Lars to be back?

I'm busy, busy, busy. This week stands to be nothing but a blur, but the end is in sight. :earsboy:

Please cross your fingers for us. David got up this morning and thinks he is coming down with a cold. NOT what I wanted to hear. I told him he flat out couldn't get sick. I wouldn't allow it. ;) He'd probably be fine by next weekend, when we'd all get it. My family is graceful as you all know and our other family trait is that we always share. Oh boy!

Glad you had a blast and hope you're not unloading the van in the snow!

Yay, Lars is home. Glad he didn't leave you in some bathroom at a McDonalds along the way. ;)

Yay!!!! Lars is back home!!!!!! Welcome back!

Merry, I do hope that David will be feeling better soon!!

Busy day... TV came, dad came over and watched Pirates with us and then went out to dinner.

Now just relaxing and getting ready for work tomorrow *sigh* love the weekends too much I guess!

Woo Hoo - Lars is back!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc Can't wait to hear your trip report.

MP - I hope David is feeling better. Congrats to Amy again.

Sandi - your DD must be getting nervous (maybe you too!). the wedding is getting so close.

E - great job on getting the bargain at JCP! gotta love a new tv too. BTW, I kept forgetting to tell you that my kids have watched POTC and love it! Even my 4yr old. I was worried about the skeleton scenes, but she was fine.

Carolyn - i hope everything goes well w/ the grandmother.

Gail - can't wait to see pictures of the volcano.

Marsha - you'll be outta that he**hole in no time. you have a nice house to look forward to.

Went to mass w/ my SIL today. It was celebrated by our bishop. The mass is a start to St. Patrick's day and is sponsored by the local AOH groups. Then we went to the Marriott across the street and had a nice breakfast. Didn't do too much else once I got back home. Tried to do baked potatoes and steak on the grill, but after awhile the tank ran out. Finished them up in the oven, so it turned out fine.

 Welcome home my friend!!!

Okay, I'm sure you've all been waiting anxiously for the report of why DH and I were barely speaking yesterday. As if doing home improvement projects together wasn't enough....LOL

Neil and I went to the Depot to get the underlayment (right Marsha??) and then we went to the flooring place to buy more padding for the laminate. I should preface all of this by saying that we were driving the "dump truck" (remember the big huge Man-truck that i like to take to the dump, but generally try to keep within a 10 mile radius of my house...lol) anyways...we're at the flooring place, and were pulled up to the loading dock to pick up the padding. When we got back in the truck, it wouldn't start.....nothing...nada....Neil of course blamed me because I turned it off. Yeah, I know, the other three stops we made didn't effect it....go figure.
So what did we do??? Call AAA? NAAAAAAAAAHHHH...I did what any good daughter would do...I called my dad. He tried to tell Neil how to get it started by wiggling some doohickey, or unpluging some thingamabob...but my DH isn't the most mechanically inclined tool in the shed....if you need something blown up..he's your man...but if it has something to do with how the car runs...better find someone else.
WEEEEELL, my dad was watching my darlings while Neil and I were out spending quality time together :o so he had to wait for my mother to get back so he could come "rescue us" (uh..Dad..they are portable..just buckle them in...) I figured this would be a great bonding experience for DH and I. He wasn't as pleased with the opportunity to spend quality uninterupted time with ME!!

My father showed up about 1/2 hour after we called. He climbed under the truck with a screwdriver and the next thing I know, I was on my way back home. Actually, I was just a passenger....guess Neil figured being a girl and all I couldn't actually DRIVE the truck. We get to our house, Neil backs the truck up to the house.......AND TURNS IT OFF!!!!!! <<<<<<<<HEEEEELLLLLLOOOOOOOOO BUTTTMUNCH>>>>> Don't turn the truck off...because NOW it's parked in the mud that is my driveways..in a puddle about 3 feet deep  AT this point in the day, I was NOT a happy camper. Of course it didn't restart!!!

Wait, it gets better.....my mother calls and says "come get the kids, so I can go grocery shopping...." okay, no big deal....cept the truck I need to return to her house now won't start. So I go to start my truck.....uhhhh....nope...not gonna start...dead battery.....errrrrrrr....

Stomp back into the house....tell Neil he needs to figure out how to do that "magic screwdriver" thing to start the truck. He of course has no idea...but being the resourceful individual he is he (1) Knew better than to laugh at me, and (2) found out what he needed to do by googling "screwdriver" and "starter"

Woohoo...truck is running!!!! Neil is now unbearable to live with....
I think it has something to do with an overabundance of testosterone that is a direct result of starting a vehicle with nothing but a screwdriver!

Finally, about 3 o'clock on Saturday, we get started on this little project. We did the underlayment...and were too tired to do anymore.

7:00 this morning....we start on the laminate. The work went really fast, and by 10:00 we realize we're ONE BOX short of having enough material. OF course the flooring center is NOT open on Sunday!!!

Fast forward to 2:30, race time. Friends arrive, bring beer...snacks...like is good. Right up until about lap 37. Junior ended the day 50 laps down, and a drop from 1st in points to 8th.
argh!!!

So Lars, how was YOUR TRIP?????

Why didn't you call my wife? :teeth:

BTW we already knew you were a box short of having enough material!

(Gotcha twice in one thread! :p )

Welcome back Laura.

I haven't been posting much. I just have been not wanting to......

But it isn't anything personal, just sometimes, I need a lettle break. So, hi to all, everyone has lots to do. Maybe I am bored.

Steph, one box short isn't bad, I just hope they still have the same stuff left. If not, you will need to get a nice contrast color and make an all around the room border. If you need advise, you know where the floor expert is. Sorry about junior, and the trucks, and the mud.

We did the home depot thing, Pete needed to get some plywood and a 1 by 6 to make some 2 x 2 "rooms" so he can do mock ups, how the product his company sells looks when it is installed. He had fun, had to get out his air compressor, his saw, his nail gun, he was enjoying himself. We also stopped at Bed Bath and Beyond, and got some decorating ideas for the new bath rooms. I now have them all decided, which is good. Then since we went to the HD/BB&B in Hooksett instead of Londonderry, we drove up to the house. Floor joists are staged on my garage floor!!!! The 1st "pod" of 4 is nearly complete on the outside, the second "pod" has one end unit totally framed, so they are moving along. Each pod had 4 units in it. We are in the third pod. That is a relief, as we settle on June 1st or the builder is in breach of contract. I will probably start going up weekly now to take progress pictures. I have figured out how to make roman shades, but I need the window measurements. I love the decorating part of the new house.

I did some stress relief exercise today, too. I got out the big pruning clipper and hacked the heck out of the over grown trees and bushes in the back yard. Now it looks so much better. It was all wild stuff, mostly oak trees that were just totally out of hand. The owner should really get a professional in here, but she will have the house on the market as soon as we leave, so I doubt she will do much of anything along those lines. She didn't before, so why try to make it look nice now? I suppose I will rake the leaves that seem to multiply in the yard, too. Pete says not to, but it is good excercize and why not?

Guess that is about it. I will try to do a proper catch up tomorrow.
