Kathy, My DD lives in Philly, she's in her 2nd year at Temple and my SIL lives in Elkins Park, so I know the area a little bit. Haven't been up to visit DD since January, but she's been home here a couple times.

I live near Villanova which is West of Philly. I love it out here.

Valerie, I HATE exercising but I LOVE Curves. I've been going for about 6 weeks. It goes quickly because you move stations every 30 minutes and there is always someone to chat with. They will let you go once as a guest. Try it!

Hi Kathy!!! See I told you this is a fun place.

I take full credit for bring in another PA angel. She is an exchange organizer, so we had a little chat yesterday back annd forth through email, and I told her to stop by. I am so happy that she did, and that we are all on our best Angelic behavior.

Edited to add: I also invited Kathy to our leetle meet with Gaspode, she said she would be there!!!!!

I belong to Curves too. I go a couple of times a week with friends. It is a fast way to exercise.

I have to go to a room parent party planning session this AM to plan an Easter party that we can't call an Easter party (must call a Spring Party) for kindergarteners. However, it is perfectly acceptable to have an egg hunt and Easter looking candy at said party as long as you dont actually call it Easter!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :crazy:

I should know better. We were driving to Massachusettes one year and decided to take the Canadian route. So I explained to DH that there was a giant bridge leading to Canada just before Detroit. Well, I dozed off for a bit, woke up and realized we were north of Detroit. I made him turn around and then when we got to the bridge could not figure out how he missed it.
"well, you were sleeping, I wasnt sure if it was the right bridge' OK, hello, the sign on the bridge said "CANADA"

Ah, the advantages of having a blind wife - she never knows that I just missed my turn!

Actually, she used to teach a Driver's Permit class so she knows every rule of the road. :rolleyes:

When I said "we", I was refering to the inference made many times on this board to the generalization of "us" and directions.
