Morning :)

Looks like Sam is fully recovered, so he is off to school.
As for me, I dont know yet what I am going to do today. Ill probably go shopping at some point, maybe clean the house. It all depends on how he is feeling when he gets home.

Have a good day all :)

Good Morning everyone!

In honor of SB, we went to lunch at Olive Garden yesterday. Since I have been very good lately, I decided to take a small taste - in other words...the tour of Italy!

To be honest, I did not eat the chicken; I brought that home with my DDs Pasta Fagioli soup she did not eat and what was left of Mrs. AAs Fettucini, so it will be a GOOD lunch today!

The talent show went very well for an event that was completely thrown together with no organization at all. Mrs. AA has been appointed to the Entertainment/Fund Raising committee so she promises that next year will be very organized if she has to kill people to do it.

You just don't play around with Mrs. AA....

I don't know about fund raising but I'll bet we could save the school money if we let the Angels handle all the appliance repairs.

When we got home, oldest DD gave me a Montgomery Biscuits Baseball Cap. The former AA (Baseball designation - not Alabama Alan) team from Orlando will make their debut here this Spring.

Although I'm not much of a cap wearer..I prefer going topless...I love the gift - even if it is a stupid name for a ball team!

Have fun Gail! I'll be thinking of you.

Hope Shannon feels better soon.

Sandi, good luck getting all that done. Have fun with BB.

E, pass me a cookie and I'll help you figure out how to spend your bonus. ;)

Carol, get those dogs booked and start packing! :teeth:

Marsha, I need low fat sour cream for this weekend. If you go to the store, pick some up for me, okay?

FM, have a good nap. I hate the "I didn't get enough sleep" feeling. Always gives me a headache.

:wave2: to everyone else. Had to have Amy to school at 8:00 this morning. They were taking a bus to their pre-district band performance. Guess I'll head over to the riddle and see if I can figure it out today. Have a great day, everyone.

Alan, you've got me laughing. I'm thinking that Montgomery Biscuits sounds like something from A Prairie Home Companion. :teeth:

Alan - glad you thought of me for lunch yesterday! I just love their salad and breadsticks.

Carol - and I thought Lou would be the first one to say something about the repairman.

FM - I'm just like you when DH goes out. I love how they fall asleep right away when they get home, and I am still awake. The next day is ruined 'cause I'm so tired.

Shannon looks a lot better today. Still stuffed up, but she actually ate 2 waffle sticks for breakfast. Would love to go to the park to enjoy the nice weather, but I guess we will be staying home. My washing machine is fixed now though! Cost $140 - still less than buying a new one.

Speaking of the Olive Garden.

When we were in Florida in 2001 my hubbie bought some of there salad dressing......when we were in New Jersey we went to one and they said you couldn't buy it??? does anyone have any idea if it is still available to buy?

Melissa, thanks for the kick in the butt. Dogs are booked now.

We have airfare and a room. Now need the shuttle from the airport to ASMo and park tickets. What else am I forgetting?? Some PS for dinner.

Has anyone used the FL Tours cars advertised here on the DIS? That is what I am thinking of using. DH wants to know how much to tip the driver.

I am getting excited!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Carol, I used FL Tours in August. A lot. They picked up my sister and the boys, they picked me up, they took us all to AKL, they came and took us to Sea World and back and then back to the airport. We probably tipped a lot, but 10 to 20 is about normal. Thy were really good, there is a 5 dollar off coupon on their website, too. I think you should go for it, nothing like having a guy waiting at the bottom of the escalator with a Neon Pink Sign that says "BreezyCarol". They will put what ever you want, I had the put my nephews names on it, they were thrilled!

Where are you staying? I am too lazy to go look. Get your tickets at TDS early, they are cheaper thanat the gate.

I am excited for you and every one else that is going and has made reservations.

E, nice that you get a little bonus. I remember those days, Iwish retirerees got them.

Merry, I will get the sour cream, but I just decided that I will wait till tomorrow when Pete gets home, about 3pm, is that still ok?

Cami, can't help you with the Olive Garden thing. Even tho they are all owned by the same company, I guess each one makes it's own rules. There food is yummy, think I will have to put that on the lunch list for Sunday.

Alan, I think that's a great name. Maybe the cheerleaders can be called the Gravy Girls?

SB, you are correct, that is less than a new washer. But the real question is, was they guy cute, did he buy his pats at the gap?

Sounds like this thread....(and I don't mean the talent part!)

SB ~ $140?? At that price I hope your washer brings you many more years of enjoyment.

John ~ I'll deal with you later

E ~ Remember those idiots you were dealing with at work the other day? Thanks a lot for sending them my way!

Lou, E must have sent those idiots to my work yesterday. Is there a full moon? John - do NOT respond to that question!!

All right, who kidnapped my DH and replaced him with a Disney freak? First, he bought me the Mickey toaster for Valentine's Day, and now he is telling me to check into staying longer at WDW in August???:lovestruc

Lou, we could have a quickie on the 21st - that is the day we would be leaving.

A quickie meet, people! Get those minds out of the gutter!

Well, I spoke to soon about Sam being fully recovered.
Just as I was getting out of the shower his teacher called and told me (in great detail) about his explosive trips to the bathroom. And could I please come and get him.
So I get to school and Sam is all cheery. "Hi Mom why are you here? Are we going shopping now? Bye everyone, we have errands to run' This did not seem like a sick kid to me.
I gave him an Immodium and am afraid to leave the house. I figure if nothing happens by noon, we should be safe to leave the house. He took the pill at about 10.

LK: Does he mean stay longer on property????? lol. You are eligible for the FTP, ya know.

Please don't anyone send those idiots to my work tomorrow because then I will have to post on the nurse thread and . . . (not a good idea, never mind!):p

Carol, I have used FL Tours twice and highly recommend it.
Lets see: getting off the plane, finding your luggage, finding your way to Mears shuttle, watching everyone get on a Mears bus while you are still waiting, an hour later still waiting so they finally call a new bus VERSUS having a man meet you at the bottom of the escalator with a sign with your name on it, helping you with your luggage and then taking you right to your hotel with no waiting! (also you don't have to leave your hotel as early as when getting a Mears shuttle). We tipped $10-15. I premade those envelopes and set them aside with my mousekeeping envelopes so it was like saving for it in advance.

SB: glad Shannon is feeling better.:D

Sandi: what bakery are you looking at for the wedding? You are close to my favorite bakery. (the Oakmont bakery). I got my wedding cake there and every other cake since. They do a fabulous job.

have a good day. :sunny: :sunny:
Nice and sunny and warm: 58 today already!

Hi all... pot luck is moving along nicely here... people are eating food which is good as I dont' want to tak too much of this home ;)

Lorraine, sorry I missed it earlier, but I hope Shannon feels better soon

Two Angel threads? Really John??? :p

Carolyn, bring those cookie fixings on over to my house... I can do the baking and we can have fun and enjoy the rewards after too ;)

Oh my, that's a heck of a lot of updating there, Marsha!!! If you even browse the internet with the laptop, I might put Norton on. Virsuses can be transmitted that way too!

Carol, now why on earth would you be craving brownies??? I have nothing to do with that
Sugar cookie? :p

Bethany, glad to hear that Sam is feeling better!

Alan, sounds like a wonderful day for you!!! You prefer going topless?????

LOL, Merry! I'll give you a cookie but can't say much about that bonus thing ;) Actually we have *no* clue how much it will be... it's been far far too long since we've gotten a real bonus. We used to get them quarterly and haven't gotten one (by the definition of what we used to get) in about 3 years. We've gotten appreciation bonuses but not prefromance ones. I'd love to see these back as they added about $5K onto my salary after taxes!

Yay, Lorraine's washing machine is fixed... now she can do laundry ;)

Cami, I have no clue about the dressing. I haven't been to our Olive Garden in a long time!!

Carol, I haven't used Florida Tours myself before, but I love a towncar!! I've used Tiffany many times and love them! I think we tip about 10-15% but I'd have to go back and look at my receipt.

Lou, sorry about the idiots heading your way... ummmm actually it was several different telcos this week that I wanted to bloody kill! Maybe it is just something about the telecom industry being stupid :p I just hope it isnt' who I work for that is giving you a rough time :p

LK, read same comment to Lou above ;) When you are done with your DH can I borrow him and have him teach Luis how to act? ;)

A quickie with LK and Lou :faint:

Bethany, I hope that whatever was wrong with Sam will be a quick thing for him to get over :)

Poor Sam - I hope he is feeling 100% better soon.

Donna - yes, I think I have Lenny talked into the FTP. I told my SIL to get a Disney Visa, too, so she can book the same thing.

Now that DH is a certified Disney Fan, I need to work on my mother. I was just talking to her on the phone, telling her about booking a Disney cruise for next year and going to WDW this August. She said "Why are you going again? Why don't you take the kids someplace different - like Six Flags or something?" Uh, NO! Not the same thing at all!

I just saw 2 things that told me so.

1. The fattest Robin I have ever seen. It was in the back yard and I kid you not, I thought it was a nerf ball that was blowing across the yard, till I put my glasses on and saw it.

2. 3 not so fat Robins pecking in the flower bed next to the house, and 2 starlings with them. As the snow has melted there, I imagine that there are lots of bugs to be had.

LK, where does the MIL go for vacation? I think she should go with you, if only to have a quickie with Lou, too.

Bethany, kids!!!! Gotta love em.

Pete just called, the idiots are visiting him. No floor prep done, so no tile can be installed, and this job has already been put off for a month, there is no reson whjy the contractor couldn't be ready. Now he is thinking he will have to stay all day tomorrow. At least he was smart enough to bring an extra day of clothes. He is staying at The Royal Palace, (MILs) and I bet he end up staying through most of Sunday, too. More DIS time for me, I guess.

Marsha, it turns out I have to have several dozen cookies for Saturday. So I guess I'll go to the store and get the sour cream. I can't decide if I feel like baking or just being lazy and going to the store bakery. Do you need me to pick up anything for you? ;)

Sorry about Sam. Hope he's feeling better before long.

LK and Lou? A quickie? Oh my! And here I thought SB was the one who had so much laundry to catch up on. ::yes::

We've never used FL Tours, but we have used Tiffany several times. Loved them!

Now all the talk of cookies has made me hungry. I need to go see if I can find something for lunch. Which reminds me that I haven't pulled anything out of the freezer for dinner.
