My DD has a friend who works for US Weekly. Last June, she sent us an gossip/rumor email that included information that Jennifer Aniston was a major cocaine user and Brad had had a major issue of her coke use and that was the really the major reason of the break up of the marriage. Is it true? I don't really know, but this same email (in June) stated that:
1) Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey's marriage was already over, they had an open marriage and that she had had an affair with Johnny Knoxville while doing Dukes of Hazzard, but their PR folks had asked them to keep it together through the fall;
2) that Tom Cruise had made an 10-year $10 million dollar deal with Katie Holmes;
3) Heavy cocaine-using celebrities at that time were Mary-Kate Olsen, Lindsey Lohan and Jennifer Anison;
4.) Vince Vaughn was and is a raging alcoholic
5.) Ben Affleck was drunk in a bar when he Jennifer Garner got married and a fellow reporter friend of my DD's friend was there getting the story. Ben was drunk and told her that they are having a girl. He didn't realize this person was a reporter.
Only time will tell which others of these stories are true or just rumors, but several have been shown to be true including this last week's story on Lindsey Lohan and her cocaine use in Vanity Fair and Ben's slip-up that they were having a girl. None of us really know what went on in Jennifer and Brad's marriage - we weren't there and I don't think any of us really know what happened to instantly criticize one and exonerate the other.
As far as I'm concerned, since little children are now involved with Brad and Angelina, I wish them and their growing family best and hope it lasts. I always hate to see innocent children hurt.
