Thats one of sets of the things you can get in fl it changes state to state.

We have 8 people in my house we go though alot of food

Have you actually tried the food?

Our church requested help from the membership in order to get Angel Food set up here as a ministry to those in need. They needed a set amount of orders to bring it here. We ordered twice to help get it started and I have to say that I'm thankful my family doesn't have to eat that processed, poor quality crap.

They make the meat sound good by calling it restaurant quality but seriously what restaurant would stay in business serving those gristly, tough cuts.

If you are in need then it is food, if you have kids that you feed breaded, high fat, processed meats, then maybe it's worth it. For anyone else- it's gross.

Can you tell- I don't like it?

This is the 2nd month we have ordered from them. Unlike the previous poster I have found most of the items much like we normally buy when we shop at Aldi's. The steaks we got were really good, the pork chops were good too. The chicken tenders, while we do not normally have them in our freezer, were a nice treat for the kids.

I can't wait to try it i dont think it will be that bad sk!mom is the only negitive reveiw i have seen so far she must of been one of those spoiled rich kids when she grew up.

Um- you've had two replies:confused3 I think that would be 50/50. A search revealed some previous threads with a few more responses.

Not sure why others haven't responded to your thread as this has been discussed at length, many times.

Whatever- I'm just thankful that I can provide my family with healthy food.

I have not made any personal comments about you while you have attacked me twice. I was giving my opinion of Angel Food and was quite sincere when stating that I'm glad I don't have to feed it to my family.

Why are you so defensive and snarky?

Hit me in the wrong way witch remended me of prety much how halve the spoiled brats at school act.

no hard feelings????

I think everyone who is interested in it should at least try it and judge for themselves.

We have done it before. We did it quite heavily for a while.

But we have not done it in a while.

We used them also. Most of the food was good. I am now trying to rid my house of any meats with all the additives, ect. All the meats you get from them have these, so I won't be buying for awhile. Now, my kiddos love the chicken strips, Mom too!

never heard of them, but then again, we are organic eaters so I am not much help. If it works for your family then go for it.

Actually, this may be the first time in my life that I've ever been described as "spoiled" and it's definitly a first time for "rich." Feels pretty good- if it were only so!:thumbsup2

I'm actually not offended, DH and I have had a good laugh that I am not offended by name calling and you were offended because I don't like Angel Food- wth::rotfl2:

It's fine with me if others like it, eat it, save money with it. In my 20's, I probably would have jumped on it and tried to like it as we had a very small grocery budget. I stand by my original comment- I'm thankful that we don't have to eat it now and I'll add that I hope the economy doesn't get bad enough that I have to.

We tried it for a couple of months and I have to say that I agree with sk!mom, it is not good. My DD is a picky eater so I didn't suprise me that she didn't like it, but my DS will literally eat anything you put in from of him and he wouldn't eat it. He kept saying, This is gross mommy. For us it really didn't save us any money because over half the food we ended up throwing out. The meat really isn't good cuts. One time we got a bag of potatoes that was good. But then it was like we spent $25 on a bag of potatoes and some cans of vegetables.

But obviously some people do like it. So it wouldn't hurt to try it at least once.

I get it every now and then, depending on what's offered for the month. Some of the stuff I like, some I don't. Most of the time I buy probably half healthier food and half garbage anyway, LOL. I do like the angel food chicken strips. I'm not a huge fan of chicken strips normally, but theirs are really tasty. I suppose they're terrible for me, since they taste so good. :rotfl:

I find them handy to have though, good for quickie snacks, great on top of a salad, good in a chicken wrap, etc. When the monthly menu includes a large bag of those plus one of the 'extra' packs you pay separately for then I'll usually buy.

I don't care for their steaks, but DH isn't very picky and he'll eat them. In our area the desserts are usually pretty good... often a pie of some sort, and although they're frozen pies they have always been yummy.

I got some baby back ribs for the first time a few months back and they were surprisingly good. I wouldn't have ordered them, hadn't ever ordered them, but they came along with the rest of the order so I tried them. I was pleasantly surprised.

I got it for a couple of months, and I didn't really care for it either (and I'm not spoiled or rich :thumbsup2 ). I actually don't eat very healthy and have no problem with processed foods, (heck, my staple foods are mac & cheese, peanut butter, cereal, frozen pizza, etc.) but I didn't really like the foods. I also got gristly, tough meat, and more breaded chicken then I could ever eat. I decided that I could probably get about as much for $30 at Aldi, and then I could pick what I wanted. I do know a few families who get a couple of boxes every month and love it. I agree that if you are thinking about it, try it and see if it works for your family.

We ordered from them a few times last year. I don't see me doing it again. For 30$ (which has gone up since I ordered it use to be 25$) I can get better quality stuff. I am NOT a spoiled rich person (oh how I wish!) I just found the quality not to be so great, okay some of it was down right horrible.
