Well, off we go. We head to the WDW Railroad, sleeping baby in arms, and all. Then Corey spotted the McDonald's french fry stand in FrontierLand. So we all stop and get some fries. Real healthy, I know. When we get to the Train Station, Michael finally wakes up and ends up eating almost all of Corey's french fries. "O" well, what are big brothers for??!!
The first place we go as soon as we enter Toon Town is Mickey's House. Michael thought it was so neat to be able to see Mickey's shoes, and clothes hanging in the room. He really loved the Mickey shaped pumpkins in the backyard. When we finally got in to see Mickey, Michael all of a sudden got shy again. He wouldn't leave my arms to go see Mickey. So "we" had our pictures taken with Mickey, which is just fine with me. We left the judge's tent looking for something else for Michael to do, and saw Goofy's Barnstormer. I figured hey he is a dare devil, he will love this, but as I was going through the line I started to rethink that. There was a 6 or 7 year old little girl crying because she didn't want to ride it. There was another little boy about 4 on the ride that was crying hysterically. I decided we would do it anyway and if he didn't like it then we just wouldn't ride it again until he was older. We got on, and it took off. I was sitting in front of Michael and David and I kept having to turn around to look behind and see him. He had quite possibly the biggest smile I had ever seen. He LOVED it. Then came the hard part. The ride stopped. I had to drag him off of it screaming and crying. I finally got him off by telling him we were going to go ride Winnie the Pooh.
My mom, Nikki, and Corey decided they were going to take the train back to Main Street and wait for us there, and the rest of us headed to ride Pooh. Little did I know Pooh had the longest wait we had seen all day long. It was 30 minutes, even Space Mountain was only 20. We knew we had promised him we would ride it, so we waited. As we were getting up towards the front of the line the lady in front of me tapped on my shoulder and warned me about the puddle on the floor in front of me. Come to find out it wasn't water!!! Some little girl had squatted down a few minutes earlier and relieved herself in the middle of the line!! Some people.
After Pooh we headed for Main Street. Thankfully, we didn't have any trouble finding them. They had even scoped out a seat for SpectroMagic for us. Which was awesome. Mike went into the emporium and bought a bunch of pictures that we had taken that day, including one of the whole group with Judge Mickey. Then Spectro started. It was wonderful. We had front row seats, and one of the little fish came right up to Michael. I have always loved that parade.
As soon as the parade was over, we followed it up Main Street a little ways so that we could watch Wishes. We decided to grab some hot dogs from Casey's while we waited, and ended up eating our hot dogs in front of a trash can, because all of the tables in the area were full of people sitting there to watch Wishes. When we were done eating we inched our way out towards the street for a better view. When a couple of castmembers came out to lay down some tape for the walkway next to us one of the knocked Corey's drink out of his hand. The guy who did it didn't even say excuse me or anything, he just looked at Corey and then walked away. one of the other CM's a younger girl saw what had happened and took Corey inside of Casey's to get him another drink. I thought that was just wonderful of her.
We all stood there watching wishes. I could never have imagined it to be as beautiful as it was. Nikki said she almost started crying just watching me watch the fireworks. What can I say I am a big kid at heart. After the fireworks we all made our way towards the exit. All of a sudden I noticed that Mike ( who had Michael by the hand) was walking very fast ahead of the rest of us, and whenever we yelled to get him to slow down he just ignored us. So I ran up ahead a little bit to find out what was going on. Come to find out the big ole softy was crying. Just being able to experience all of this with his entire family turned him into a big bowl of goo. So, I let him have his cry and left him alone. I walked back towards the rest of the group and told them why he wasn't slowing down. As soon as I told Nikki that her husband was crying she lost it and started crying too. What a group of softies!! :crying: :crying: I even got a bit teary eyed too!!
Then for the topper to the entire evening. As we walked out of the park, we could hear Mickey talking. I looked up at the Train Station and you'll never believe who was there. It was Mickey Mouse, he was waving goodbye to everyone as they left the park. It was so cool. Made the perfect end to a perfect day at Magic Kingdom, well perfect except for the puddle of piddle at Pooh.
We rode back to Pop Century, and the grandparents decided they would watch they kids while David and I headed for Down Town Disney. He and I just walked for hours, shopping, talking, and just spending some quality time together. Disney has become our favorite place. Since we spent our honeymoon there it holds alot of memories for us.
Stay Tuned for day 3!!!
