I love my iphone for all the reasons mentioned by the previous posts. I do not think they're overly fragile. I've dropped mine several times--twice on pavement--and it's fine. I do not keep a special case on it, just the standard hard plastic.

i recently did the switch myself from a droid to iphone. i liked the droid as i had amazon music and a kindle library, but there is an amazon music app for the iphone anyway and i only read the books on my kindle.
for what it's worth, Consumer Reports rates the Samsung Galaxy as the #1 smartphone for all 4 major carriers. The iPhone is rated as no better than 4th or 5th for each carrier. This was last January's issue, I don't think I have seen any new ratings
But jd power has said iPhones have the highest customer satisfaction for smartphones every year since they were introduced (in 2007). I agree with the Pepsi/coke analogy. I like Pepsi and iPhones![]()
