I finally bit the bullet and purchased my very first smartphone yesterday. I will be visiting DL for one day only this coming Monday...are there any apps I should load and get used to using? My group is 3 adults and 3 kids aged 14, 10, and 8. We will be paying the "one day only, peak season" tax, so I hope to make the best of our day.

I have an android and downloaded the Disneyland App and Mousewait free App. Neither are perfect but have heard that the Disneyland app seems to be more up to date when it comes to fastpass and line wait times.

These are the two apps every disneyland nut with an android really needs. I've diffenately got them. I've tried all the others as well but these 2 are the cream of the crop on android.

I used to use Disneyland Wait Times and MouseWait Disneyland, but since Disneyland has released their own official app, that's pretty much the only one I use now. The unofficial apps are only as good as the number of people in the parks using them (i.e., they rely on in-park guests to update their wait time information). I do like that Mousewaits tells you when the information was last updated, so you know if the wait time was from five minutes or five hours ago. The official app seemed pretty good, in that the information generally matched the approximate information at the attraction. I noticed that there was about a 5 minute delay in updating wait time information in the app (i.e., the sign board at the attraction will list a new estimated wait time and about 5 minutes later, the app will show that same time) and that the FP information was often off by about about 15 minutes (i.e., the app will say FPs for 10:30 am to 11:30 am, but the machines are distributing 10:45 am to 11:45 am).

I love the Disneyland app on my android smart phone. I used it quite a bit when I was there in March. If found it to be pretty accurate.

Thanks for the advice, I've got the app downloaded and getting used to using it! Getting nervous about hitting the park in 5 short days!!!
