One thing that struck me about Anderson is that physically speaking, he is not very big. In fact, when he first appeared at the book store, I heard people saying things like "He's just a little guy" and "He's small." Anderson is thin and has a slight build and average height. He has described himself as "scrawny" and while I hate that word, it's not far from reality in Anderson's case. Still, he is even more handsome in person than on the TV, something that can be ascribed to his natural charm and ready smile. Anderson exudes warmth.
Anderson gave a short speech and began by mentioning that he had attended a book signing at a Barnes & Nobel in NYC the other night and had been disappointed to be seated near a large display of Anne Coulter's new book. He said that this evening he was pleased to be signing in a store that had enough taste not to prominently display Anne Coulter's book. That remark won applause from the crowd and made me love him all the more.
