Well, we didn't make it to PE today.
And not because of what was going on yesterday, but because after picking up the free 8x10 Walgreen print (there's a post on the budget board, quick, if you have time left in the day and a Walgreens, go find the code and pick up your print!) his belly was really hurting. So much so, and he had such circles under his eyes, that I convinced him that going home to rest, so that he might be able to swim on Saturday, and definitely would be able to do his PE next week (gymnastics both days plus his regular gymnastics class!) next week, would be MUCH better.
He finally agreed (which as we all know is the true sign of illness in a kid that doesn't want to miss anything), and *just* as we were pulling into our basement garage...blorp.
So we're washing the seat covers of the carseat, I have to wash the harness straps, gotta wash the shell of the carseat! He got *everything*. If only I'd driven faster! If only I hadn't had to wait for a pedestrian slowly crossing the driveway to the garage. If only it hadn't taken me so long at Walgreens... yeah, 'cuz that would have meant he would have thrown up all over ME, likely in the elevator. And have I mentioned we live in what is basically a retirement condo building? With people who are, while much more active than us, possibly more immuno-sensitive? So I guess it's good it just got the carseat. 'cuz I don't know how I would have cared for him AND cleaned up the elevator!
So...that was fun.
While taking apart the seatcover and harness and all, I wondered if it might just be easier to buy a new carseat! I mean, the Graco Nautilus isn't *that* much, right?
We received the Passporter last night and E's ticket today (checked the mail before going out). Woo! Little rays of sunshine in a rather stinky day.
Oh and E's now been sleeping for almost 3 hours. Poor bitty sicklet!
