Wedding Day Continued- Time to eat and Dance
After the pictures at the Wedding Pavillion everyone but John and I went to Cocktail hour. We went to the Yacht club and took some pics of just us near the lighthouse with the boardwalk in the back ground. I like how most of these turned out.
Once all the portraits were done we made our way over to the convention center. we waved at our guests and proceeded to be hidden until the grand entrance. We were also given a sneak peek at the room. All I can say is Oh MY God. It was perfect. the Cake, the centerpieces and my gobos on the wall. IT was better than I imagined.
We were given drinks and some food. I liked having the quiet moment with just us we talked and laughed. Fianally we were told it was time. We lined everyone up and the announcements were made. Of course the little ones were funny. Connor came in before he was supposed to but the DJ did not miss a beat and said here is Commor as well. On the video it is funny. When we cam through the doors it was so cool. Everyone was clapping and the flashes were going off. I felt like a celebrity.
We then did our first dance. We picked Billy Joels Just they way you are. I did not realize it was such a long song. We finished the dance and went to sit. The best man gave a great toast
Here is the cake which was so yummy
I have no pictures of the buffet but I can tell you the food was out of this world. My favorite part was the mashed potato matini bar. Everyone was talking about that and who tried the purple potatoes.
The kids were served their own meals at their table. I think they liked having something just for them. The table had toys on it and they all made fast friends and just played.
When Dinner was over we did the Father daughter and mother son dances
I had a very good dance partner most of the time. Connor wanted to dance with me to every song. It was so cute
My best friend Frankie made a request to hear the Who because that his favorite band (good taste for a six year old) I asked the DJ to play Who are you and dedicate it to Frank. He was happy and we danced to that song
It seemed like the dance floor was always packed and that everyone was having fun
All too soon the surprise gusts arrived
They were a big hit they danced with us and posed for pictures
They even helped us cut the cake.
Everyone thought it was great that they came. And it seemed they stayed for longer than the 30 minutes. Again we got some unique pics and everyone was laughing and saying how wonderful it was.
All too soon The mice left and the dancing continued. Before I knew it they were playing New York New York. It was the last song. We all did the kick line and then it was over.

Boo.
I was so happy but sad because it was over. The day flew by. BUt it was so magical and more than I could have asked for. We are party people so we told everyone to meet us at Jelley Rolls on the Boardwalk.
I will post the after party pics next time
