I'll be in MK this Saturday, 10/30, arriving prior to the 8:30 AM early entry for resort guests with my grown daughter, just us two, no mobility issues, and are WDW vets but we are not local, so we definitely want to make the most of our day. We have Genie+ and don't want to buy ILLs for 7 Dwarfs or Space Mountain, I don't think. I had my plans for the day all laid out, and then Genie+ came along. I'm frozen now at the decision of where to start the day. Rope drop 7D or SM? Or Peter Pan? Or something I'm not considering? Looking at wait times, it looks like, at least during the week, SM has not had long waits in standby. 7D has a 75 minute wait at the beginning and then it eases somewhat throughout the day. If I ride 7D standby first thing, I'm eating up time I could be riding the Fantasyland rides (I see you, Peter Pan). I kind of feel like the game warden in Jurassic Park, when he explains that while you have your eye on what you perceive is the most important thing, it's the 2 other things you never considered that come up from each side and eat you. :crazy2:

I would love opinions, please. Also, what would your first LL choice be?

I have a Touring Plans subscription, but using Lines is kind of out the window until they can incorporate LL choices; I don't see a way of using both TP and Genie+ simultaneously. On the other hand, I wonder if we could stick to my original TP and ignore that Genie+ exists, and still ride a lot of rides. We'll have a great day, no matter what. Thanks for your help!

SDMT does not have a 75 minute wait at the beginning. It will grow to that relatively quickly but it is not that right at EE rope drop even though they'll post that right away since it's not worth updating it every 2 minutes during the first 10 minutes. If you EE rope drop 7D it will be quick. However, that means rope drop - not 10 minutes after rope drop . . . it builds fast.

I would make a beeline for 7dwarves since that line gets insane pretty quickly. I'm sure once you did that one you could make your way to Space Mountain and it wouldn't be too bad yet. That would be my plan if I didn't want to pay for individual LL.

if you are planning to do early entry go directly to 7 dwarves. Should not take much time to ride it. If you're interested in Space Mountain you can do that next or wait until its line is at a bearable length for you. The rest you can plan on Genie Plus. The ones that seem to go quickest are Peter Pan, Jungle Cruise and HM, maybe Splash, though I'm not aware of any of them running out of booking options during the day. If you can't do early entry, then still go directly to 7 dwarves if you want to ride it in under an hour.

Unless I get to the gates 30 minutes early and can get relatively close to the front, I won't rope drop a top tier ride. I'll head over and do other awesome E-ticket attractions at 10-15 minute waits and then do the hour long wait later. Usually after lunch when I'm feeling that nap coming on. A line is a great place to be when that feeling hits.
