Let me explain and you'll not hear one more tip from me in this thread. I can see that whatever I say is not appreciated.

I'm not dumb either so don't think that I don't report all my income on any of these sites and i'm not so dumb that you'll need to underline some words in case i skip over it.

You know you're completely missing the point?? That's NOT what I'm saying.
It is Treasure Trooper and Instant Profitz (another horrible site that i dont bother mentioning since I haven't seen a post about it), the ONLY 2 sites out of hundreds if not thousands of GPT sites (it's called GPT not rewards) that will declare your earnings in BOX 7.


If you're familiar w/ the 1099misc, you'll know that any earnings reported in box 7 will be taxed at a higher rate..the self employment rate of 15.3%.
And TT and IPz have done this. I've earned at other sites and they ALL are reporting it in box 3. Those that initially sent out 1099misc forms that report it in box 7 have apologized and adjusted it to box 3. ONLY TT and IPz are unapologetic and are stubborn about it even though it WON'T affect them either way.

Now if ALL of you know this, and MnC, i'm sure you're appointed to speak for everyone, then please ignore my posts.

I've also discussed about this in length in another forum and 3 of the site owners also joined in and they were CashDuck, RockHardCAsh and Mooomoney.

That's actually true of any rewards site not just TT. Technically if you want the IRS rule, you have to report all income to them even if you don't hit $600 on each reward site. We are not dumb over here. We've actually had a few discussions in March and April on the issue of taxes and reward sites.

Its how you are talking to us over here which is making people mad the most. You might want to cool it.

I know what it's like to have my cc number stolen dh and i just bought a new house last year and the people we sold our old house to had been getting some of our old mail i guess a few were hospital bills from the past etc... all with my ss # on it and they had gotten it from there. Scary thing is we sold it to a couple in thier late 60's and yet they knew how to do that! We would up going to court and they were found guilty. Scary how you have to watch things these days.

I agree.... back to the subject. Sorry to hear about your identity being stolen. I am always paranoid when I use a CC. i worked at a credit union and they scared the pagibbies out of me during training. It is so easy to steal our information.

I would strongly suggest that you check facts before going out and accusing people/business of certain actions without any specific knowledge or facts to back up your statements.

We are a pretty tight-knit community over here. We help each other out with offers, reccomendations of new programs, etc. Everyone is welcome but when you come in pushing one particular site (both in posts and pm's) and go attacking one of our own understand that we aren't going to sit back and take it lightly.

I hope you learn to play nice and follow the rules of this board just like everyone else does.

FWIW, I signed up for Passport to Fun last Feb/Mar and have been hit with the $1 charges from Saving Smart. I called the toll free number listed on my CC statement and (re)cancelled using the ID number also listed on my CC statement.

I then called my CC company and informed them that the charges are not authorized from here on out and that my account with Saving Smart is null.

We'll see what happens.

Dang! I just found Savingsmart on mine again! I assumed it was because my mom signed up for Passport using her business card that is a part of my account. But just to be safe, I went in and pulled an itemized list of what came from which card. Sure enough, that Savingsmart is on MINE, not hers. I have already cancelled it twice. And I haven't used the card to do ANY paid offers in about 6 months. So they must be going back and pulling old memberships and charging them again.

I don't understand why this all happend? I mean we can all have our own opinion but come on. Who cares who was first or last or what ever. In my opinion SS rewards is the best site because they offer they daily survey,daily clicks,scratch offs etc. Trisha also is very promt in answering any questions /complaints. She also is a down to earth person who visits the boards and does not just sit behind some computer like some of the faceless owners of other rewards sites. Also I must say on her site i have never ran out of things to do. So why should I care who is first or last? Just my opinion.

And? Kira's mentioned the fact she was a part of Deal Barbie on both the Cashduck blog as well as her personal/pf blog.
Frankly, it's one of the reasons I joined Cashduck...Kira'd been posting about gpt of her pf blog, and I figured someone who a) had belonged to several would know what she was doing, and b)I enjoy supporting someone who shares my values.

Honestly, this is what gets my goat. They pulled their offers because of fraud, then charge stuff randomly.

My CC company was nice enough to pull off the past three months' $1 charges. They have been informed that Saving Smart is NOT authorized to charge my card...I don't know if that will mean anything or not. Rest assured I'll be watching my statements like a hawk!!

Granted, $1 isn't much but if you charge 1000 people $1 every month that's an extra $12,000 a year! And I'd venture that they're making (albeit fraudulently) more than that!
