Like most committed DISers, I check Allears for restaurant menus, updates, etc. We have ressies for Biergarten for the CP, but someone at DHs work told him there's an Asian restaurant that cooks at your table? Can someone please enlighten me? :confused3

Teppan Edo at epcot, its like benni hana they cook at your table,,,,you can look up youtube vids and see what it looks like

My family really enjoys Teppan Edo.

We just ate there last month. In fact, it's one of our family's "must do's" for dinner each trip, along with 'Ohana & Cape May Cafe.

If you don't have a hibachi restaurant at home, it is worth going to. However, if have hibachi restaurants at home skip it, odds are the ones at home have better food, better menus, better shows and all for less money. Just my opinion.

I guess you're lucky. Teppan Edo is WAY better than the nearest Japanese steakhouse here.
We love Teppan Edo and do it most trips.
We are trying Tokoyo Dining this trip and I am already torn,

The general complaints about Teppan Edo compared to the Japanese-style hibachi chains you might have at home are:

1) Teppan Edo will not prepare or serve fried rice. Apparently this is a dealbreaker for some. They serve only steamed white rice.

2) At most Japanese hibachi restaurants, the meal includes a soup and salad. At Teppan Edo, you must order the soup and/or salad separately from the entree. (If you're on DDP only the entree is included, and a dessert. If you're on the deluxe dining plan you can get either the soup or the salad as your appetizer, but not both.)

The menu's also a lot more limited than most hibachi chains. I think it's pretty good but I tend to avoid it because they won't take Tables in Wonderland. Annual passholders can get 10% off lunch on weekdays.

Thank you guys for the enlightenment.....I will pass reviews to DH and let him decide. I do so much of the planning, I need to throw him a bone. :rotfl2:
