My dh is coming in one day later than us on a red eye. We are staying at RPR. I don't want to get the kids up at 430 am to pick him up. I called Mears they said it's 19.00 one way, and he just needs to call when he's ready to be picked up. Anybody had any experience with the shuttle. Good or bad? When he's taken ME at that time in the morning he's had the bus to himself.

If you're staying at a Disney resort he can still take ME when he arrives.

I posted this in the Universal section. Not sure why it was moved. If it was for WDW I wouldn't have asked about a shuttle. :confused3

I took the Mears shuttle all the time before ME. No problems. And for a solo rider, it's definitely going to be the cheapest option.

I would assume your thread got moved because it's a transportation question.

While staying at the Dolphin one year, I gave the Mears shuttle a shot. I had a friend who offered me a ride, with her, to the resorts, but I really wanted to see how the shuttle would be. It was actually kind of fun. I was put in a can, vs the big bus. We had a terrific driver who gave us all sorts of local info. I got to see Oldtown, which I had heard of but never seen. The others in the van were pleasant and friendly. Of course, no way of knowing, beforehand, if your fellow passengers will be nice!
It took about 90 mins, from gate to the Dolphin. Not too bad. I was the last of 4 stops though.
I used Mears to get back to MCO in early November, it was fine. I was actually in a luxury van, with one other person! Very nice.

What did you do that made them put you in a can? ;)

Well you know me!! Always misbehaving! Really need to proof what I'm posting.....especially when watching TV at the same time.

Thanks for the positive review. I'm thinking at 5am he may not have a lot of company on the shuttle. We have used Mears taxis at WDW and I have nothing bad to say about them so I'm sure there shuttle service will be fine.

We used Mear's on an impromptu trip 2 year's ago and were very impressed by them. The shuttle was clean and the staff and driver very friendly:cheer2:
I would recommend them to anyone travelling to/from MCO.
