Anaheim Plaza

Hi again
i'm looking for current thoughts on the anaheim plaza:

is it close?
do they have a shuttle?

it seems to be across the street, but maps and especially hotel
descriptions can be deceiving.
I have some airline miles that i can use for this hotel and it will
only be for 2 nights.
thoughts?

We spent 2 nights at the AP last Sept. and if the price was right I'd stay there again. It's very much walkable no need to use a shuttle *I'm fairly sure ART stops there*

It is within walking distance and has good rates. You may even consider using your miles for something else.

I've stayed there lots of times.

They don't have a shuttle; AFAIK, only the Candy Cane Inn and maybe the Hilton or Mariott have their own shuttles. Theoretically, you could take the ART bus from the AP Hotel, but it's only about a 10 minute walk from room to Park turnstiles.

It is an older hotel (built around the same time as the Park), but it's in good shape for its age. The rooms aren't luxurious but they are clean and big. Most have either a large balcony or an enclosed "back yard". The pool area is nice; a huge (half Olympic sized) pool & a hot tub are surrounded by lots of big palm trees.

We liked the AP when we stayed there. We paid $59 a nite so it might be worth it to consider not using your points. The room was very large, the only issue I had was the water temp varied too much when I was in the shower. It went hot to cold too much for me, but I would stay there again. It is walking distance to the park so no need to worry about a shuttle altho you could use ART if you wanted to.
